Warby Parker is searching for a Copywriter to ensure that our brand voice is consistent across all departments & in customer-facing materials. (Youre always writing as Warby Parker.) This is a role for a generalist with sharp-as-a-tack writing skills & a super-creative mind. Youll be working on everything from seasonal collections to social media to emails to press releasesand much, much more! Above all, words make you happy. You love words. Sound like you? Read on! 

What youll do:

  • Write seasonal collection & collaboration copy for our website, emails, & press releases
  • Craft copy for Retail team projects & new store openings, including press releases, emails, promotions, signage, & internal training videos 
  • Research frame, collection, & color names, ensuring all legal considerations are followed & were constantly suggesting fresh, diverse options
  • Own digital marketing asset creation alongside our Performance Marketing team
  • Faithfully follow (and edit accordingly to) our internal Style Guide & the AP Stylebook
  • Whip up content ideas & copy to assist social media posts 
  • Fulfill all website copy requests & edit job descriptions (like the one youre reading now!) 
  • Implement & execute editing processes
  • Proofread, profread, proofread ;)

  

Who you are:

  • A superb writer with 23 years of professional writing experience, either editorial or copywriting, that demonstrates your smarts, command of language, & taste (in print or online)
  • A creative thinker with a sense of humor
  • A quick learner who picks up new skills the way a lint-roller picks up fuzz
  • A hard worker with a no task is too small approach
  • An excellent grammarian (and multi-tasker) with laser-focused attention to detail & organizational prowess
  • A team player who communicates wellclearly, kindly, oftenwithin our department & across the company
  • A strong collaborator whos comfortable working with people of all skill sets & specialties 

Extra credit

  • Youre eager to pitch content ideas for TikTok, Instagram, & the next new platform
  • An omnivorous reader & pop culture consumer, whose taste spans the NYMag Approval Matrix
  • Familiarity with a project management system (we use Jira) to help with deadlines & task prioritization
