Team Summary
This Team works with issuers, acquirers, & processors to develop & deliver services, which includes day-to-day operations/product support.

What a Senior Account Manager does at Visa:
This role will have responsibility to provide day-to-day operational support for the Japanese clients, & will need to work with clients to support their strategic operational initiatives as well as be able to identify operational optimization opportunities for clients processing business.

  • Provide a client-oriented consultancy platform to assist with the introduction of new clients & services to the market
  • Building client relationships with existing & non-traditional clients & acting as a liaison between them & Visa groups to develop their operational business
  • Provide insight, consultancy & operational development plans
  • Educating both internal & external stakeholders & supporting them from conception through to delivery
  • Perform post-implementation monitoring & report violations which require invoking the compliance program
  • Act as reference point on operational issues related to new & non-traditional products & services & make decisions to implement resolutions to time critical situations
  • Identify operational process improvements
  • Act as an in market liaison supporting the Client Readiness team to ensure new products, services & compliance mandates are aligned with country strategy
  • Considered the functional expert for processing & operational business, providing operational & product based expertise & guidance with a view to client operational readiness & effective implementation
  • Assisting sales function regarding non-traditional products & services through identifying specific client opportunities, providing service based financial business cases, & education utilizing product, market & regional knowledge
  • Coordinate internal resources to accomplish Visa & client objectives, & ensure processing system performance standards are met & that the client perspective is represented within the organization
  • To brief & train new & existing clients in aspects of compliance programs that will impact clients businesses
  • Establish client support strategy in line with broader market & customer service objectives & goals
  • Stay current with industry & client trends & maintain a strong knowledge of Visa products & VisaNet services
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex issues encountered by team members & act as a mentor & train team members
  • Support bi-annual Visanet Business Enhancement to clients assuring clients compliant with the Visa mandates of changes & no technical problems occur
  • Partner with assigned Account Executives to identify additional business opportunities
  • Perform ongoing proactive operational reviews to include billing & transaction processing
  • Support Japan Country Strategy & Initiative

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • Bachelors/Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8 years progressively responsible experience in a customer support role in financial services, payment card, software or information services is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills & proven abilities in negotiating with & influencing customers & staff at all levels
  • Ability to represent technical & business issues & solutions to multiple levels internally & externally to support strategic organizational plans
  • Excellent time management, organization, & planning skills
  • Ability to comprehend & translate complex technical issues & apply to business solutions
  • Able to set priorities, influence others, & manage customer expectations
  • Demonstrate success in customer relationship management
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to achieve results as part of an effective team, & ability to effectively prioritize & multi-task under deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation & interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate complex technical terms or processes into business language
  • Strong local market & regulatory knowledge & functional experience in bankcard operations, supporting highly complex clients and/or services
  • Excellent language proficiency in business English & Japanese

This position is responsible for ensuring overall effective & efficient operational support & act as an advocate on behalf of Visa's clients operational business needs to internal stakeholders.
