THE POSITION

Responsible for the leadership of a comprehensive Security Operations program, the Director of Information Security Operations will lead 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC) providing operational & strategic planning, including foster innovation, planning projects, & organizing & negotiating the allocating of resoures.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Responsible for the leadership of a comprehensive Security Operations program
  • Responsible to ensure early & accurate detection, response, & containment for threats directed against the environment
  • Provide oversight of SOC day to day operations & service delivery
  • Responsible for ensuring quality of service metrics are maintained, reported on, & adhered to by the team
  • Drive continuous refinement & improvement of detection & response, threat hunting & incident response processes
  • Grow & mature our Threat Intelligence Program
  • Keep current with the latest vendor updates, expansion opportunities, & technology directions, utilized in the environment
  • Direct & drive process & documentation improvement
  • Manage financial aspects with Leadership for the SOC group, including preparation for purchasing, budgeting, & budget review
  • Manage staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, & disciplinary action
  • Develop & maintain an educational environment where the knowledge & performance of the group is constantly advancing
  • Ensure timely reporting of security control gaps & vulnerabilities
  • Stay abreast of evolving risks, new developments in the security industry & industry best practices in risk management, threat analysis & threat response techniques
  • Attend info security related events & network with industry peers to inform engineering & operations processes of effective risk mitigation strategies for attacks
  • Oversee teams production of threat intelligence reports that communicate the results of the analyses to the respective audience
  • Responsible for joint team effort to normalize data from vulnerability assessment, penetration test, incident response & application security project deliverable
  • Establish & maintain regular written & in-person communications with the organizations executives, other group heads regarding pertinent activities
  • Develop & mentor staff through open communication, training & development opportunities, & performance management processes; build & maintain employee morale & motivation
  • Be willing to travel at least 25% with a valid passport

  • This management role is technical, & the ideal candidate needs to possess deep security knowledge/expertise, previous experience as a security practitioner, systems management & administration experience, proven service management skills, & the ability to attract & retain talent in a challenging market
  • Proven ability to make decisions & perform complex problem-solving activities under pressure
  • Sharp analytical abilities & the ability to make sound decisions quickly required
  • Deep understanding of SIEM ecosystem, solutions & architecture
  • Deep understanding of EDR vendors, solutions & architecture
  • Deep understanding of regulatory compliance such as NIST, SOX, HIPPA, PCI, etc. & their differentiators across global regions
  • Understanding of Security Orchestration, Automation & Response concepts
  • Experience working with ticketing & knowledge management systems
  • Experience with security analytics platforms
  • Experience with reporting platforms
  • Ability to translate technical findings & articulate recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of fundamental cloud, security technologies & tooling, & secure software development lifecycle concepts
  • Understanding of international privacy & data protection regulations, such as CCPA & GDPR
  • Superior writing & editing skills with the ability to construct well-founded, clear, & concise analyses & recommendations
  • Ability to pass extensive background checks to obtain gaming/casino licenses required for this role
