Senior Project Manager, Construction

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • The Senior Project Manager will manage internal KATERRA office Renovations/TI work across the country
  • Based in Dallas, this role will require 40% travel or on average a 2-3 day trip every other week
  • Projects high end office TI work for KATERRA internal work & other outside clients
  • Team will manage a team of 3-6 people of estimators, 1-2 project managers & superintendents
  • Manage projects & a team currently responsible for building internal KATERRA offices in Washington, Arizona, Texas
  • Needs to have 10-20 years experience in commercial office /TI work
  • Responsible for company initiatives in building better, faster & cheaper with KATERRA innovation techniques & help to develop cost & time saving methods
  • Roles & responsibilities & Core Competences needed are:
    • Overall project risk management for office TI work
    • Overall client satisfaction
    • Overall company objectives (better/faster/cheaper)
    • Subcontractor management & negotiation
    • Superintendent management
    • Meeting project objectives (safety/quality/profit/schedule)
    • Superintendent & PM monthly expense review
    • Sub/vendor invoicing review
    • Project cost forecasting (monthly)
    • Project safety audits
    • Submittals
    • RFIs
    • Change orders
    • Preps client billings
    • Material procurement tracking
    • Jobsite visits every other week +/-
    • Client & senior management weekly communication
    • Manage multiple projects or teams with projects (4-8) going at one time

Required Skills & Experience

  • Effective project Risk management
  • At least 15 years experience running Office Renovations/T.I. projects
  • Knowledge of SAGE -Huge Plus
  • Detailed individual with great communication skills
  • Project Execution within project guidelines
  • Safety/ Quality /Execution standards
  • Effective Project Management
  • Project Reporting & Scheduling

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Construction Management Degree is preferred but not required
  • PMP or CMP cert preferred but not required
  • Senior level role, 15-25 years experience desired.
  • Working knowledge of SAGE software is preferred
  • Detail oriented individual with great written & verbal communication skills is preferred
