The Portfolio Governance Program Manager will be responsible for the end to end governance & oversight of multiple programs, including management of all aspects of Visa's project management methodology, vendor management process, approval to spend process, workforce plan support, & drive transparency & visibility to overall program health across scope, schedule & budget.
The ideal candidate brings a strong project execution background andis looking to ensure DDP has strong governance & oversight across our portfolio; ensuring we are effectively delivering on our commitments within scope, schedule & budget. This position interacts with many cross-functional stakeholders, including various technology teams, finance, & business functions. This position will report to the Director of Portfolio Governance.
Key responsibilities include:
Partner with key Technology & cross-functional stakeholders to drive the approval to spend process.
Proactively work with project managers / PMOs to assess areas of data quality concerns & ensuring proper PMM governance, including connecting stakeholders to raise awareness & facilitate collaboration to identify the path to resolve any red/yellow status issues.
Continuously offer recommendations to improve DDP's Portfolio Management reporting & challenge status quo to remove stakeholders' pain points while ensuring proper governance.
Track project & program budgets, forecasts, schedule & resource allocation.
Extract, combine & transform raw data from various source systems to present meaningful insights for management decisions.
Champion Visa's PMM process to ensure Visa's key programs & project activities are delivered within Visa's compliance framework.
Assist in preparing documentation for any internal or external audit request.
Interact with program key stakeholders on program updates.
4 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree.
Advanced degree (e.g. MBA) a plus but not required.
3-5 years of proven experience in project/program management.
Excellent verbal, written, & presentation skills with an attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with strong time management with sense of urgency & ability to execute on multiple concurrent deliverables.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, & roles.
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE), Certified Scrum Master and/or PMP certification preferred. Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification a plus.
Solid analytical & problem-solving; ability to think strategically.
High Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel is a must. Microsoft Word & PowerPoint is a plus.
Prior experience working with the following tools is a plus (Clarity, Rally, SQL, Access, Tableau).
Work Hours This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours.
Travel Requirements This position requires the incumbent to travel for work less than 10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit & stand at a desk, communicate in person & by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones & computers, reach with hands & arms, & bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
