Glossier is looking for a highly-motivated, organized Production Manager who is excited to join our Supply Chain Operations team & manage the material flow of a quickly growing product portfolio. This person will support the material order cycle - translate the demand forecast into material requirements, generate purchase order (PO) lists, track order status, ensure & validate on-time-in-full deliveries, & optimize work in progress (WIP) inventory across the network. Additionally, the Production Manager will facilitate phase-in of material changes, support ramp-up of new launches, & nurture relationships with our vendors. The ideal candidate for this role has 4-6 years experience managing production of physical products within complex supply chain & distribution models.

6 Month Expectations:

  • Own the Material Requirements Planning process; generate POs & escalate any supply risks to internal teams
  • Build & nurture vendor relationships to ensure orders are filled on-time & to strengthen customer service
  • Engage partners in collaborative planning, & to improve S&OP processes
  • Identify & own several critical KPIs around supply performance
  • Facilitate phase-in of artwork & packaging changes & ensure proper item & bill of material (BOM) changes

12 Month Expectations:

  • Recommend re-sourcing strategies based on vendor performance / KPIs
  • Support internal business operations, including implementation of new systems & buying models
  • Partner with internal teams & vendors to optimize WIP inventory across network
  • Drive operational efficiencies & COGS improvements

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management
  • 4-6 years experience in operational roles in the consumer goods industry
  • Thorough understanding of item master data & product Bill of Material structures
  • Team player capable of working cross functionally
  • Excellent project management, communication, & organizational skills
  • Advanced MS Excel modeling skills; proficiency in MS Office & Google-suite tools
  • APICS certifications such as CPIM & CSCP a plus but not required
  • Experience with an ERP tool like NetSuite
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools a plus
  • Ability to relocate/or currently located in New York, NY
