The Data Support Analyst is at the core of iCapital's Data Operations & Product team. They make sure that the databases & data processes are running as expected. Any deviation in that process must be resolved immediately & with an understanding that controls & monitoring must be implemented to avoid future issues. Outside of operations, they need to constantly think about better ways to implement current & future processes. They will document processes, make suggestions for those processes & ultimately partner with the Head of Data Product to automate any tasks that are possible. This role reports into the Data Support Operations Manager - Assistant Vice President.

Due to COVID-19, this role will be remote until further notice. The location of the role will be based in Princeton, NJ once we reopen. 

Responsibilities

• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques & provide ongoing reports
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources & maintain databases/data systems
• Perform root cause analysis of production issues & coordinate with product owners to resolve the issues
• Work with management to prioritize business & information needs
• Locate & define new process improvement opportunities

Candidate Profile

• Bachelors Degree
• Experience working in the Financial Services industry is preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Excel & SQL is required
• Ability to meet deadlines & work effectively under pressure.
• Proven ability to multi-task & work both independently & as a team player
• Strong presentation & communication skills
• Some knowledge of data modelling & business intelligence tools would be helpful
