As the Director of Performance Marketing at Compass, you will have holistic ownership of brand & performance paid media at Compass. Leading a multi-million dollar paid media budget, this role will be responsible for the efficientstewardship of our paid marketing budget to drive growth across core audiences - agents, consumers & employees.This leadership role will be expected to deliver growth results & our ability to attribute & optimize cross-channel campaigning in service of a diverse range of initiatives.

At Compass You Will:

  • Develop & execute a paid media strategy that drives growth for Compass audiences - agents, consumers, & employees
  • Oversee our paid media planning approach by linking media planning with brand objectives & creative strategy
  • Manage, coach & develop an internal team of digital, social, mobile, & email marketers
  • Manage budget allocation process for media & fees across all media platforms with a vigorous focus on cost control
  • Serve as an expert within the company on topics & trends within digital advertising (digital, mobile, social, email)
  • Partner with the Content & the Communications team to drive Compass Brand excellence across our paid, owned & earned ecosystem
  • Develop effective partnerships with core, external partners including agencies & media companies
  • Use agile testing (A/B, multivariate) to improved results over time
  • This role reports directly to our VP of Media & is based in NYC

What We Look For:

  • 10+ years experience in a similar role, preferably at a B2B or B2B2C SaaS or AdTech company managing multi-million dollar media budgets
  • Extensive experience developing full-funnel marketing strategies, with a successful track record implementing funnel optimization methods
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree in a quantitative field or an MBA preferred
  • Previous agency coupled with in-house experience preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of the domestic media landscape & media technology
  • Experience & understanding of platform & lifecycle marketing
  • A proven track record of running performance-driven marketing plans that translate into measurable growth results
  • Outstanding organizational, project management, people & communication skills, including strong writing abilities & proven experience communicating key value messages to a variety of audiences both internal & external to Compass
  • Ability to prioritize, problem solve, multitask, & work independently in a dynamic, rapidly changing workplace
  • Strong proficiency in sourcing & analyzing the data needed to make effective marketing campaign decisions as well as a high comfort level in operating with & making decisions with partial information
  • Ability to build & manage a team of managers & highly skilled individual contributors
