As a Strategy & Business Development Analyst, you will be tasked with supporting & driving strategically critical & scalable growth initiatives designed to grow our agents business. The role will focus on Compass Concierge, a top strategic priority for the company. In the immediate term, you will own analytics & reporting on the program across user engagement, ROI, & risk management. Over time, you will own program pilots & cross functional work streams beyond analytics pertaining Concierge & other revenue growth initiatives.

At Compass You Will:

  • Collaborate on strategic projects, work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization (including Operations, Finance, Marketing, Product, & Sales) to drive growth opportunities together, identify key improvement opportunities across strategy / analytics / operations / branding, & increase the effectiveness & efficiency of how all functions work together
  • Evaluate potential growth opportunities based on local market dynamics, expected profitability, risk factors, existing capabilities, & strategic value
  • Develop & manage key operational activities (e.g., KPI dashboards, enablement reporting for high impact initiatives) with visibility to C-Suite & other senior leadership
  • Pilot exciting new revenue generation initiatives that have the potential for step-change impact on Compasss growth & long-term profitability
  • Develop & present material that communicates our unique value proposition to agents, clients, & other real estate stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Product & Engineering to stand up data infrastructure critical to the program

What We're Looking For:

  • B.A. or B.S.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in finance, management consulting, analytics, or corporate business development; start-up experience in a strategy or analytics focused role a plus
  • Ability & appetite to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Polished visual, written, & oral presentation skills
  • Ability to own strategic, operational, & detail-oriented functional responsibilities
  • Experience with large data sets & ability to extract business insights from quantitative & qualitative analysis; proficiency in Excel; experience with Python, R, Looker, or Tableau a plus
  • Self-starter attitude, tenacious & creative problem-solving, ability to exercise judgment & solve difficult problems with little direct supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills & glass-half-full mentality
