Appian is looking for a high-energy, results driven sales leader to support our Mid-Enterprise sales team, targeting organizations under 5,000 employees & acquisition of new customers at  volume. This is an opportunity to get involved in the scaling of an inside sales team motion for a high-growth technology company. A key focus will be around hiring the right people, developing early career sales individuals, & retaining talent. 

The Regional Manager is responsible for achieving a bookings target set for the region with a team of 6 Inside Sales Account Executives. This role reports directly to the Regional Vice President, Mid-Enterprise, & will work in collaboration with the partner sales team & members of sales leadership to ensure the overall quota is met.

To be successful in this role, you need:

  • A successful track record in software sales as an account executive or sales team leader

  • Experience determining target accounts, building partner strategies, & executing pipeline growth tactics

  • Experience managing & coaching team members, pinpointing areas for skill building & exercises to improve effectiveness 

  • Ability to assist with sales cycles, getting directly involved with customers, internal stakeholders, & partners to strategize, provide the right licensing, & progress deals to close

  • Experience working with resellers & channel partner teams is a plus.

Basic qualifications:

  • 2-3 years direct sales experience. Experience at Appian is a plus. 

  • 2-3 years sales leadership or team lead experience a plus, preferably in an inside sales capacity 

  • 2-3 years experience in working with a channel partner ecosystem to accelerate growth

  • Excellent written / verbal communication & presentation skills

  • Understanding of the Mid-Enterprise Commercial landscape 

  • Driven, collaborative, & high energy leader
