Our mission is to make biology easier to engineer. Ginkgo is constructing, editing, & redesigning the living world to answer the globe's growing challenges in health, energy, food, materials, & more. Our bioengineers make use of an in-house automated foundry for designing & building new organisms. 

Core to our organism engineering pipeline is the testing & analysis of our engineered strains. We leverage diverse analytical tools to get a detailed picture of the performance of these strains. Our analytical approaches are designed to work across dozens of different cultured ingredients & scale 100-1000x via software & automation.

As a Senior Scientist & Group Lead for Proteomics, you will apply your deep technical expertise in mass spectrometry-based proteomics to direct & contribute to the development, optimization, & execution of proteomics workflows that enable protein profiling across a wide variety of project teams. You should possess a strong foundation in LC-MS proteomics pipelines, method development, & troubleshooting. You will need direct leadership experience, attention to detail, the ability to collaborate across diverse teams, & a strong organizational mindset. In addition, you should also be passionate about leveraging your experience & knowledge to lead & mentor junior members on the team as a player/coach.
