Magnet Media is seeking an Executive Business Manager to help to facilitate the CEO's ability to effectively lead Magnet Media. 

This role serves as the primary point of contact for internal & external partners on all matters pertaining to the CEOs key priorities:  aligning top strategic objectives & special projects with her daily schedule, & supporting the coordination of meetings, trips & follow through action items in an organized & streamlined way. The EBM will also interface directly with many of the most important relationships for the company:  coordinating executive outreach & external relations efforts; booking & helping research / prepare for media appearances, & overseeing special projects. 

The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, a creative mindset, an intellectual curiosity, & the ability to learn quickly.  The candidate should enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment that is mission-driven, results-driven & community oriented. This EBM should also have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, displaying attention to detail, & a time sensitive orientation to all tasks. 

Its essential that the Executive Business Manager (EBM) demonstrates strong written & verbal communication, administrative, & organizational skills, & great time management.  The critical skills in this role are (a) identifying key priorities on a daily & weekly basis (as they may change), (b) addressing obstacles to progress, (c) moving forward on multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, [d] managing up by looking ahead on capacity management & communicating when there is risk of scheduling conflicts or missed deadlines in the coming weeks & months, (e) interfacing with team members & clients on the CEOs behalf in a positive, professional manner & conveying the key information between those groups & the CEO consistently.  

The EBM will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, & must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities, & confidential matters with discretion. The ideal candidate also enjoys team-building, including regular coordination with remote team members & managing leadership offsites.


  • Serving as a thought-partner on special projects, & big ideas
  • Project-managing & communication-management for key CEO initiatives, collaborations with team members internal & external 
  • Managing the CEOs calendar & schedule, including coordinating all meetings, travel & conference/video calls
  • Booking travel arrangements (for CEO & team on special projects)
  • Editing & proofreading documents
  • Ghost-writing communications with direction (email outreach / follow ups & LinkedIn, with support from Director of Content)
  • Running meeting agendas while taking notes, then maintaining accountability from other company leaders based on meeting outcomes 
  • Assists the CEO when writing/developing initiatives
  • Meeting research & preparation (including PR, industry influencer & press support)
  • Proactively managing & prioritizing complex calendars, resulting in leaders staying focused on their business priorities, working efficiently, & ensuring they are fully prepared & timely for meetings
  • Anticipating needs; make administrative decisions & requests for information on behalf of the leaders based on understanding of business group priorities
  • Partnering with support staff across the organization to ensure consistent experiences with heavy emphasis on onboarding from end to end
  • Managing domestic & international travel logistics, trip preparation & expense reporting
  • Leading the team-building & culture-enhancing work at Magnet Media

$80K Salary  + Full Time Benefits + Performance Bonus. This position can be fully remote.
