About the role
The Senior Quality Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing, organizing, & managing claims related data to optimize business processes & drive efficiency. You will work closely with various departments to identify data-related challenges & develop strategies to improve claims quality & operations. You will also ensures accurate & timely delivery of required reporting.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Claims Reporting.

Pay Transparency:
The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, & Washington is: $93,600 - $122,850 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $84,240 - $110,565 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscars unlimited vacation program & annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify healthcare data-related challenges & develop comprehensive solutions.
- Produce required data deliverables & provide technical & analytical support for Oscars Operations
- Develop & implement healthcare data management strategies to ensure ongoing data integrity & accuracy.
- Create custom queries to facilitate ad-hoc requests & utilize data to validate assumptions
- Monitor & evaluate data management systems & processes to ensure compliance with regulations & industry standards.
- Compliance with all applicable laws & regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience within claims operations
- 3+ years professional experience debugging & solving complex data problems with demonstrated success digging into data to discover root causes & drive solutions
- 2+ years of experience utilizing strong SQL skills (ability to execute basics such as inner joins, left joins, multiple join conditions, aggregate functions, & subqueries without the use of supporting resources)
- 2+ years of experience with data management principles & data quality assurance
- 2+ years of experience designing and/or improving data models, with experience defining requirements, documenting, & partnering with technical teams for execution
- 2+ years of experience presenting & delivering messages to senior leadership. Strong communication & interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams & stakeholders.
- Expert in Excel and/or Google Sheets with 3+ years of experience
Bonus Points
- A bachelors degree or significant demonstrated success in field
- Experience working with provider & facility data
- Experience working in operations management or process improvement roles
- Programming experience (especially in Python)
- Background in health insurance
- Experience automating and/or designing data pipelines
