THE ROLE

Peloton is looking for a driven, dynamic labor & employment compliance professional to join our Risk, Ethics & Compliance team. The person in this role will support internal stakeholders across all markets on labor & employment matters. This position requires a thorough understanding of Pelotons multi-faceted business, particularly the applicable laws & regulations in the locations in which its team members work & the roles these team members perform, in order to support Pelotons business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with the Legal, People & other Teams to enhance Pelotons labor & employment compliance program & facilitate Pelotons adherence to applicable labor & employment laws across all areas, including payroll, hiring, leaves of absence & accommodations, discrimination, discipline, termination, internal investigations, wage & hour compliance & more
  • Stay abreast of global employment & ethics related legislative & regulatory developments, & partner with the People & Legal Teams to ensure that any necessary changes are made to our policies, procedures, postings, trainings, & Team Handbook 
  • Conduct risk assessments periodically to assess Pelotons Labor & Employment risks; in partnership with People & Legal Teams, leverage outputs to identify & implement compliance controls & process improvements 
  • Partner with the Legal,  Team Member Relations, People, Global Safety & Security Operations & other Teams to continuously improve our ethics & investigations policies & procedures. Direct, advise & conduct internal investigations, as appropriate. 
  • In collaboration with the Legal Team, develop Labor & Employment & Ethics trainings for Peloton team members; document training certifications as required, & refresh trainings on a regular basis
  • Perform other job functions as are necessary to support Pelotons growing Compliance organization

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years experience focusing on labor & employment legal & compliance issues; experience advising People/Human Resources teams in-house is strongly preferred;  
  • Experience working with diverse employee populations, including corporate & field-based employees, a major plus 
  • Superior critical thinking skills, with a bias for action
  • Must be an independent & strategic thinker who works collaboratively & is willing to take on additional responsibilities
  • Enjoy working in a rapidly changing, disruptive business
  • Superb organizational skills & ability to manage & prioritize multiple projects at once
