The Sales Development Representative is the first point of contact for prospects, & therefore requires a strong business acumen, & ability to develop opportunities over the phone.  As the front line of the sales organization, your role will be challenging, & this role will give you the tools to position Marketing Evolution's value in the marketplace & prepare you well for advancement within the Marketing Evolution organization.

What sets this SDR role apart from others is that we allow our SDR's to own & conduct the initial discovery call & we allow our SDR's to get commission not only for booked discovery calls & demos but also if the deal closes.

Role Expectations & Outcomes

Ensuring our sales team is successful is at the heart of this role.   This role is about securing qualified meetings that will help the sales team achieve ME's revenue targets.  This role is also about you becoming versed in our product & its capabilities so you can grow your career.

1.  Develop a pipeline a qualified opportunities for the sales team to achieve ME's revenue targets
2.  Consistently achieve the monthly sales activity metrics (emails, calls, & meetings)
3.  Develops skills for a larger a career in SaaS selling, & sales Exec skills in particular


Responsibilities

1. Prospecting includes researching, identify & qualify prospects within companies spending $10 millions or more of dollars on advertising media
2. Learning, use & mastery of modern sales tools & platforms (such as Salesforce, Outreach, Vidyard etc.) for prospecting of target accounts.
3. Maintain Daily, Weekly, Monthly cadence & communication to target accounts & leads via email, phone & social touchpoints to generate new business opportunities.
4. Maintain accurate & detailed records of conversations/notes in CRM
5. Partner with Direct Sales Team to develop strategies for gaining access to key influencers & decision makers inside targeted accounts.
6. Creating & Working Opportunities through to Qualified Stage in sales cycle.
7. Scheduling Meetings & Calendaring. Includes coordinating calendars, sending meeting invites, initiating meetings, note taking & follow through at close of meeting.
8. Partner with Marketing Team to ensure nurturing of opportunities that are not ready to advance to Qualified Stage in sales cycle.
9. Maintain relationship with opportunities through Qualified Stage in sales cycle.
10. Attending Industry Events & Conferences as a representative of Marketing Evolution.
11. Maintain Weekly reporting & participation in team meetings

Requirements

Ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of relevant sales development experience
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience is required
Must be motivated, personable, articulate, & most importantly, not afraid to pick up the phone & call on marketing executives at any level
Working knowledge of marketing/advertising industry & technology is a plus
Use of Salesforce.com & Outreach technology is a plus
