About the Role:
As Marketing Director, Media you will drive strategy, execution & optimization of Capsules media budget across all marketing channels. You will play a critical role in driving both awareness & growth across the country as Capsule expands from Manhattan to Manhattan Beach. This role will report to the Head of Consumer Marketing. You will:
- Manage Capsules advertising budget & reporting across Out of Home, TV, Audio, Social, Search & more.
- Develop a paid channel strategy that ladders back to strategic objectives, including spend by channel, flighting & frequency.
- Track & report spend & performance by channel as well as communicate media plans, results & optimizations to key internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal & external partners to ensure the media strategy & execution are aligned to company objectives & continually test to deliver on company goals.
- Work hand in hand with product team to implement tracking & pixels as needed & serve as a thought leader on attribution.
- Proactively identify & assess new channels to unlock opportunity amongst Capsules target market.
- You are quantitatively driven, but can also take an art + science approach in developing a cross-channel media plan.
- You have impeccable attention to detail, are thorough about action items & push next steps forward.
- You adapt quickly & are flexible with moving timelines & fast turnarounds.
- You can strike a balance with external partners, being both collaborative & respectful, while holding them to tight deadlines, key information & follow-through.
- You can work both fast & right & don't view them as trade-offs. You understand when things require precision & accuracy & where 80% gets you to the desired outcome.
- You are exceptional with numbers & reporting.

- You are able to bring people along (internally & externally) by explaining big picture strategy, optimizations, numbers, & other tactical decisions.

- 10+ years experience in media buying with an agency or DTC company, especially in OOH & TV, but also in Audio, Digital & more.
- Experience buying remnant & NPE, & on both linear & streaming platforms.
- Experience creating & executing marketing media plans that drove measurable improvements in awareness & new customer growth.
- Experience buying media on both a national & a regional basis.
- Experience working at a media agency or consumer focused brand.
