Vimeos People team is looking for a Global Employee Relations (ER) Manager to design, implement, & manage ER programs to drive fair & consistent practices that promote a positive employee experience. The Global ER Manager will partner with people leaders, stakeholders, & team members to thoughtfully resolve complex workplace situations that align with Vimeo policies, culture, & values. This role will also be critical in designing, implementing, & managing Vimeos global employee relations framework & will drive ER deliverables to scale with the company. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have experience owning & growing an ER function, evolve ER policies to ensure compliance, & be a trusted partner to the People team & the business.
What youll do:
- Build out Vimeos global employee relations framework to include creating a standard investigation process & creating consistent practices to address concerns related to performance management, misconduct, policy violations, etc
- Develop ER strategies that ladder to the broader People Team OKRs
- Manage & conduct thorough end-to-end workplace investigations into allegations of policy violations, harassment, disciimination, retaliation, etc. & prepare all required documentation
- Proactively issue-spot ER concerns, utilize appropriate partnerships & apply a strong understanding of company policies, culture, & values to implement sound solutions.
- Engage as a trusted advisor to guide people leaders on day-to-day workplace concerns/issues, including but limited to performance management, corrective action, & conflict resolution
- Lead initiatives to create & implement training to enhance & strengthen people leaders understanding of company policies & ER practices
- Develop & provide ER data reporting to identify insight into themes & trends to proactively drive strategies to mitigate organizational risk.
- Stay abreast of employment legislation at the global, federal, state, & local levels to ensure ER policy compliance & alignment with broader people strategies.
- Foster effective relationships with HR teams, business leaders, & Legal
- Be a team member advocate by providing guidance & facilitating the effective resolution of workplace conflict to address team member concerns while balancing the needs of management
Skills & knowledge you should possess:
- Bachelor's degree & 7+ years of experience & 5 years conducting a workplace investigation.
- Demonstrated experience leading a wide variety of complex employee investigations
- Ability to establish trust & credibility
- Strong interpersonal skills, as demonstrated by strong written & oral communication, & high emotional intelligence
- Able to handle confidential information in a mature & professional manner
- Demonstrated proficiency in advising & coaching managers on performance management situations
- Ability to push back when asked or encouraged to deviate from the process or your best judgment.
- Continuous Improvement minded. Ability to drive efficiency & simplification into processes
