Data Science Marketing Manager at CarGurus In Boston

As Data Science Business Manager, you will identify areas of opportunity across the CarGurus organization where data science solutions could improve performance & lead such initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President of Performance Marketing & Marketing Analytics, you will work with Data Science, Engineering, Product & Marketing teams along with other key functional groups to bring data science solutions to life. A successful candidate will possess an outstanding analytical skillset, strategic view & business acumen, drive & strong communication qualities.

What Youll Do:

Understand performance levers across key areas of the business to identify ways data science can improve business outcomes & define projects.
Conduct in-depth, data-driven analysis to scope data science projects, inform roadmap & prioritize initiatives.
Partner with our world class data science team & leaders in key functional areas to bring prioritized data science products to life, & evaluating their success.
Communicate results, key insights & recommendations to key stakeholders & senior leadership.

Who You Are:

Master's degree in an analytical major (e.g. math, computer science, statistics, economics) with an excellent academic record.
7+ years of professional experience in analytics/data science, product management, and/or strategy consulting with deep analytic focus.
Data-oriented thinker with strong analytical capabilities
Self-motivated, well-organized & detail-oriented
Strong communication & interpersonal skills to effectively liaison with internal teams & work closely with varying personality types
Knowledge of statistics, advanced knowledge a plus
Experience with MS Excel & SQL required; experience with business intelligence tools (Looker, Tableau) strongly preferred
