About the Role:

Capsule is looking for an Application Support Engineer who will support our internal customers as they make use of our proprietary application stack.  This team is responsible for identifying root causes of issues & helping to arrive at solutions while theyre impacting our operations.  This role will be highly visible in the capacity of supporting our colleagues while also interfacing directly with software engineers to improve the functionality of our applications.

  • Support our internal customers while they make use of production services to execute Capsules mission, which is to build a pharmacy system that works for everyone
  • Work to identify problems before they happen & implement solutions that detect & prevent outages
  • Identify & write internal & external technical articles or knowledge-base entries, like typical troubleshooting steps, workarounds or best practices
  • Implement improvements to the internal customer service process as they pertain to the Engineering organization

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of development or technical support experience
  • Experience troubleshooting & debugging technical systems
  • Experience in database architecture & performing SQL queries
  • Experience scripting in modern programming languages
  • A thoughtful & friendly communication style
  • Customer oriented / service obsessed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare or other regulated industry experience a bonus
  • AWS
  • Experience in UNIX/Linux operating systems
  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related field
