About the Role:
Were the worlds largest experiences marketplace, & our team & business are growing fast. In this role, youll be responsible for employee communications & brand at Viator, creating a program that enhances the employee experience -- to both existing & future employees. Youll work with the executive, communications, & HR teams to create & execute a strategy that contributes to an increasingly informed, aligned, engaged, & excited employee population, while externally positioning Viator as a compelling place to work & grow.
This is a first-of-its-kind role at Viator. Working under the Communciations Director, youll have the opportunity to build something from the ground up.
If youre an exceptional storyteller, a strategic communicator, & a wildly talented writer (especially if youre a widely talented writer), then this role might be for you.
What youll do:
Assess current employee communications. Identify our strengths & weaknesses, as well as the gaps in our programming, tools, & channels.
Build & own an employee communications strategy & plan, based on your assessment, that contributes to an increasingly informed, aligned, engaged, & excited employee population. Own the employee communications calendar & plan across all channels, launching channels & programs as needed. Coordinate & oversee distribution of all communications.
Tell our story beautifully. Use your exceptional writing, creative & communication skills to identify the right channel for the right messages. Create beautiful, compelling assets (youll have design support).
Build Viators external employer brand, & show it off as the compelling workplace it is. Youll help shape our identity & how that shows up across owned channels in our onboarding, in our org-wide communications, on LinkedIn & Glassdoor, with external organizations such as on-campus recruitment, through 3rd party workplace awards & more.
Partner with leaders across the business, & particularly our communications team, chief of staff, HR team, ED+I & executive leaders.
Show meaningful, measurable impact. Define, measure, & report on the programs performance.
What youve done:
Gained 7+ years of experience across employee communications, executive communications, & employee brand.
Led major, multi-channel announcements, programs, or launches, including ownership of messaging strategy, asset creation, communications planning, cross-channel dissemination, & reporting.
Contributed to the development and/or management of an employer brand, measurably impacting the current & prospective employee experience & perception.
Successfully built consensus amongst your peers & senior leadership on communications strategy & messaging.
Built a reputation as an exceptional writer, no matter the format. Youre adept at translating technical concepts into stories, soundbites, slides, & scripts.
Gained an eye for beautifully presented content, especially video & graphic storytelling (even if you lack direct experience in these areas)
Measurably contributed to brand awareness through strategic communications programs.
