Job Description:
The QA Specialist is a member of the Salesforce Solutions team & is responsible for performing quality assurance processes that ensure robust technology solutions are delivered. This individual develops test plans & cases, performs hands-on testing, coordinates customer acceptance testing, & participates in releases. The successful candidate will thrive in an Agile project environment, enjoy working directly with our team & clients, & be comfortable moving between technologies based on business requirements & emerging trends.

  • Work with clients to understand business processes, in order to implement comprehensive test plans & cases
  • Perform user story testing, after hand-off from internal & vendor implementation teams
  • Performs Validation testing of Features & Engineering Stories
  • Performs Regression testing to ensure overall quality & execution of new releases
  • Strong communication skills; ability to independently facilitate meeting to review defects & foster cross team discussions to ensure defect resolution
  • Perform accessibility-related testing, to verify standards compliance using appropriate tools
  • Lead integrated system testing sessions, including setup & configuration of testing lab
  • Triage bugs with clients, to ensure accurate detail & prioritization
  • Assist Scrum-master in identifying & mitigating project risks
  • Document application troubleshooting steps
  • Triage user support incidents escalated
  • Be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the implementation process
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience with a minimum of two years of hands-on quality assurance experience, including testing of multi-tiered, transactional web applications.
  • Ability to understand user stories & technical specifications & translate them into test cases
  • Experience delivering software solutions using iterative methodologies, such as Agile/Scrum
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG 2.0) & experience implementing accessibility-focused test plans
  • Experience implementing performance & load testing strategies
  • Experience working within teams & using collaboration & management tools, such as version control & bug tracking systems
  • Knowledge of system integration techniques, scripting languages & web services
  • Comfort working in a variety of operating systems & technical architectures
  • Ability to operate within short release cycles
  • Strong organizational skills & communication skills (written & verbal), working both with technical & non-technical audiences
  • Drive to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction, process & product quality, & reliability
  • Must be able to work longer hours to meet project deadlines and, as necessary, to troubleshoot & fix issues
