As a Technical Sourcer on the JW Player team, you will join our efforts to identify & engage top engineering & technical talent across the globe. You will collaborate with a charismatic team of Talent Acquisition, HR & business professionals to gain the interest of passive technical candidates. You will partner with technical leadership & the Senior Technical Recruiter to identify key talent profiles primed to work on the most powerful video platform on the web while driving lead generating initiatives that supply continuous high-caliber candidate flow.

In this role you will:

  • Identify & develop a strong pipeline of passive candidates across all roles in the product & engineering org
  • Liaise between recruiters, coordinators & hiring managers to move candidates through the pipeline in the most efficient manner
  • Use your deep understanding of the technical talent landscape to build well-defined sourcing strategies with clear timelines & succession plans
  • Deliver key candidate market insights to the people team & hiring managers
  • Build proactive relationships with passive candidates while maintaining alignment with the broader employee value proposition. Success is measured by the quality of insights generated to improve employer branding outreach
  • Find creative & unconventional ways to foster & build new sources of talent (sourcing tools, strategic relationships with other companies/organizations in the industry & recruiting events)
  • Quickly surface hiring trends/recommend changes to sourcing strategy when appropriate
  • Exhibit flexibility & motivation to find extraordinary talent that turn into hires in an extremely competitive market
  • Work closely with the talent acquisition team to build new & effective ways to foster diversity & inclusion across recruiting initiatives while staying compliant (EEO/Diversity Programs)

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years of technical recruiting experience, preferably in a high-growth technology or startup environment
  • Prior knowledge sourcing for Software Engineering or Data Engineering teams specializing in front end, back end, full-stack & infrastructure/IT
  • Proven ability to create & foster high touch relationships with active & passive candidates
  • Experience with some/all of the following tools: Greenhouse, Google Suite, LinkedIn Recruiter, Microsoft Office
  • Experience leveraging Facebook, Twitter, & other social media platforms to drive passive candidate engagement
  • Ability to juggle multiple requisitions at once
  • Ability to think fast & use good judgment
  • Self starter with an incredible work ethic & team-first mentality
  • Use of effective, timely communication approaches that include proactively keeping the recruiter informed & appropriately expressing ideas & thoughts in both verbal & written forms

  • Experience working at companies that have scaled quickly
  • Prior experience using a variety of search tools & techniques through social media channels, job boards & database mining (Boolean) to promote open positions & identify relevant talent
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
