About the Sr HR Business Partner
OpenGov is looking for an energetic, operations-oriented Sr HR Business Partner to drive OpenGov's Compensation, Benefits & operational processes. This will be an ideal role for someone that wants to develop breadth & depth in the HR world while leveraging existing skills & talents.
Our ideal candidate is someone who loves organization & process, hates to be bored, & is searching for that next great opportunity to learn & grow in their career.
•Be a business partner to assigned organization: help them achieve/exceed business results, strengthen team performance, culture, & retention while mitigating legal exposure
•Own, run & refine bi-annual performance review, goal setting/scoring & compensation processes for Go-To-Market (GTM) organization
•Report monthly, quarterly, & annual HR metrics; share with leadership & management
•Drive training at the company level: develop & send Manager email/slack materials, own employee lunch ‘n learn series, other training as needed
•Implement tools & processes to support your business units: training, career ladders, competencies, development plans, PIPs, onboarding, etc.
•Develop events, training, materials etc to support a successful remote culture
•Be an advocate & help champion OpenGov's culture & values
•Partner with HR Analyst on Onboarding & Offboarding processes; conduct exit interviews
•Manage compliance reporting & administration (Soc2/FedRamp, EEO) as well as training (Workplace Harassment, Security Training)
•Consult with the business's leadership & management to foster & promote the engagement of the business's core values at all levels.
•Provide meaningful & timely feedback to management on strategic initiatives
•Translate organizational needs into plans of action to achieve organizational goals & strategies.
•Consult leaders through organizational effectiveness, design & change initiatives.
•Lead transformation efforts, including change management, process improvement, org design & capability development.
•Demonstrate ownership & accountability of decisions/recommendations made by HR team when working with client groups
•Act as a guide & mentor for more junior members of the HRBP team.
•Operate as a partner to executive leadership, coordinating talent-related business activities, operating with independent decision-making authority.
•Own & lead change management, organizational design, workforce planning & performance management initiatives end-to-end.
•Analyze trends & data in partnership with the HR team, having an active voice in developing solutions & initiatives to drive results.
•Offer advocacy to team members & incorporate employee advocacy in daily work.
•Great relationship building skills with a passion for helping others
•Excellent communication skills & the ability to negotiate & influence effectively with employees & leaders at every levels
•Thrives in a fast-paced environment & is able to juggle competing priorities; ideally has startup experience
•Able to handle confidential matters & sensitive data
•An extreme eye for detail - nothing slips through the cracks
•An open & approachable demeanor
•HRIS system savvy / administration / operations experience
•Can problem solve & create innovative solutions
•Proficiency in Mac & Google applications, such as sheets, slides, & docs
•Excellent judgement & problem-solving capabilities; as well as the ability to make thoughtful decisions with strong moral compass
•Ability to demonstrate a passion & skill for drawing actionable insights from raw information & data.
•Analyze information & effectively propose solutions.
•You have been an HR Business Partner at a company in an early stage, fast paced, environment.
•Ability to work efficiently under pressure, drive projects to completion & meet deadlines.
•Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
•Strong business & HR acumen
