What We Are Looking For:

Persado is looking for a Business Development Manager based in New York, Chicago, or San Francisco. In this exciting role you will be building a pipeline of prospects & uncovering opportunities by researching & developing outreach strategies to engage target enterprise companies. As a critical part of Persados commercial organization, you will partner with our sales teams, to help us build the top of our sales funnel to help achieve our revenue growth goals. Key vertical markets include retail/eCommerce, telecom, digital services/media, travel & hospitality, banking, insurance, & healthcare. 

What We Expect of You:

  • In partnership with the New Business Sales team, manage inbound & outbound business development efforts
  • Conduct comprehensive industry analysis on Fortune 1000 target companies & verticals to determine new client opportunities
  • Map out the org structure of customer-facing organizations across the enterprises of these targets
  • Contribute to Persados revenue growth by generating meetings with senior-level stakeholders
  • Develop/refine the best ways to establish contact & engage with prospects 
  • Enthusiastically represent Persados technology & solutions
  • Qualify leads driven by the marketing team
  • Provide feedback & input to help us shape the evolution of the prospecting process

What We Want To See:

  • Bachelors degree with a strong academic background ideally in a business/marketing field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience -- prior business development/quota-carrying experience is preferred but not required 
  • Outgoing & positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills
  • Organized with strong time management skills & ability to prioritize
  • Strong written & verbal communications skills & composure
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to convey value 
  • Has drive, self-confidence, & resourcefulness
  • Problem solving skills & an ability to think outside of the box
  • Analytically minded 
  • Able to engage with & partner with others to deliver targets
  • Familiarity with online marketing & advertising, including email/CRM, social, web, performance marketing, is a major bonus
  • Understanding of business models & value drivers within industries including, but not limited to, financial services (banking, insurance), retail, telecoms, technology & media is an advantage 
  • Fluency in written & spoken English is a requirement
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM platform is a significant advantage
