This role will be a member of Visa's NA Go-To-Market & Solutions team, which is responsible for bringing best in class Visa products & solutions to market. The Client Solutions team, within NA GTM & Solutions, is responsible for driving product engagements & solutioning for clients in the U.S. market. The Principal Solutions Manager will be responsible for meeting with key clients, educating them on product offerings, & defining a solution that meets the client's unique needs & constraints.
The Principal Solutions Manager will work closely with internal partners such as: NA GTM & Solutions (Market Strategy & Commercialization), Global Product, NA Sales, Client Support Services, Innovation, Strategic Partnerships, & Legal among many others. This position in based out of San Francisco, CA & reports directly into Sr. Director, NA GTM & Solutions, Client Solutions.
Drive client engagement & solutioning across the U.S. client base (with a focus on top-tier issuers, acquirers, & partners)
Thought leader that can identify opportunities for innovation & engagement with clients & work with the product management team to document, evangelize & implement these opportunities
Lead the development of U.S. clients' digital strategies in a way that showcases Visa's leadership in the space (e.g. provide content on digital thought leadership, engage with clients to bring new products & constructs like Secure Remote Commerce to market, etc.)
Provide ongoing business-as-usual support across Visa's digital product suite
Collaborate cross-functionally to bring one unified Visa voice to account executives & clients
Consistently engage with the AE team to educate & apprise them of the latest product developments & landscape updates
Utilize the voice of the client to inform the product roadmap
Provide ad-hoc client reporting & help team track ongoing client engagement
Apply industry expertise with knowledge of Visa's global market opportunities, consumers, merchants, issuers, enabling partners, & competition
- TRAVEL REQUIREMENT : This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 10-20% of the time
5 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
Bachelor's degree from a top university in a business-related field (e.g. Business, finance, economics, marketing, or related areas).
Product development, business strategy or management consulting equivalent experience (4+ years)
Payments industry experience and/or e-commerce/digital products experience a plus
Strategic thinking skills - ability to anticipate upcoming trends & changes in the broader environment & apply them to create competitive advantage for Visa
Strong written & verbal communication skills, interpersonal & presentation skills & the proven ability to influence & communicate effectively
Excellent facilitator & moderator
Excellent interpersonal skills & the ability to develop strong working relationships
Ability to build successful client relationships
Comfortable working independently in fast-paced environment
Candidate must be a self-starter & have a disposition to work independently with a commitment to detail in an organized manner
