FanDuel is looking for a Manager, Marketing Technology to help drive our customer retention, martech operations, & strategic marketing initiatives through MarTech technology advancement. You will play a key role in the Marketing Technology & Operations team, with ownership over marketing technology initiatives. An ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of CRM systems / technologies & be an advocate for MarTech innovation, evangelizing best practices throughout the company to produce delightful customer experiences & drive business KPIs. You will use your background in CRM & your technical acumen to enable different FanDuel brand verticals to do more with new & existing tools. This is an exciting opportunity to help elevate revenue driving marketing initiatives at a premier gaming company.
THE GAME PLAN: Everyone on our team has a part to play
Technical Knowledge
- Lead several innovation functions within Marketing Technology & Operations including Transactional customer communications, data/usage management/reporting, & POC for Finance/Procurement for key strategic contracts/invoicing
- Become thought leader of strategy & innovation by unlocking opportunities for transactional email through using technology (Braze, Knime, CDP, Promotions Engine)
- Be a resource for others as a systems expert, sharing extensive knowledge of our marketing technology stack (Braze, Knime, CDP) & our data sources
- Recommend where campaign execution can be made more efficient through implementation of a new feature, & play a lead role in partnering up with Automation & Implementation team
- Learn APIs & other data transfer methods to automate marketing campaigns end-to-end & do campaign personalization at scale using Movable Ink
- Partner with relevant teams on the creation, testing & deployment of assets used in automations & campaigns with advanced personalization
- Understand the breadth of customer marketing communications we send, & take all programs & channels into account when thinking through new campaigns to implement
Program Management
- Serve as thought leader with respect to Marketing Technology & Operations, build relationships w/ key stakeholders, & deep understanding of impact on the overall business
- Become POC for Marketing Procurement (invoice routing, forecasts, etc.) & POC for Advanced Usage analysis for primary tools i.e. Braze & Segment
- Own tech stack campaign marketing performance (Braze) at a BU level & Segment, our CDP
- Provide analysis & subsequent strategic recommendations, quantitative/qualitative, regarding impact of vendor usage data at a monthly tracking level
- Contribute to the planning & development of a marketing technology roadmap that accomplishes set business goals
- Cultivate collaborative & productive relationships with product & engineering teams
- Evaluate capabilities of new & existing vendors, & collaborate on new tool implementations alongside our Product Development & engineering teams, Marketing Director & VP
- Track usage on owned platforms, project needs for future contract periods & contract renewal discussions
- Present roadmap & program updates to groups of business stakeholders
Team Development
- Oversee the creation of documentation for owned projects to facilitate knowledge sharing
- Create & document new team processes for deploying campaigns & technology launches
- Identify, develop & help foster top talent within the wider Marketing organization
- Create an inspiring environment for teammates to learn & advance
THE STATS: What we're looking for in our next teammate
- 4+ years of experience in email and/or mobile marketing, with experience creating & managing Marketing campaigns from start to finish
- Experience mentoring junior team members
- Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
- Strong project/program managements skills working with complex deliverables & shifting timelines
- Proven experience with marketing communications & personalization tools (e.g. Braze & Movable Ink)
- Experience working with Customer Data Platform Technologies (e.g. Segment, mParticle, Tealium)
- Experience working with product & engineering teams on executing a development roadmap
- Expert knowledge of CRM platform metrics
- Proficient in coding emails in HTML & CSS
- Proven experience creating business cases & influencing product roadmaps
- Has a positive attitude & loves opportunities to collaborate with others
- Strong organizational skills & effective at project management
- An avid sports & gaming fan, & have played FanDuel or competitive products preferred
