SecurityScorecard is looking for an organized, detail-oriented, highly-motivated, & good-humored team player with significant product, privacy & general commercial & corporate experience to join our growing Team Legal. This position will report to our General Counsel, but will work closely with all members of Team Legal & other cross-functional departments to help drive the companys rapid growth.

About the role & what you will do:

  • Counsel the business on product & privacy issues, provide general IP support & support on domestic & international legal & compliance issues.
  • Review, draft, & negotiate a wide variety of contracts (sales contracts, partnerships, alliances, data license agreements & technology vendors). 
  • Provide governance & entity management support, both domestically & internationally, to help accelerate the companys continued growth & expansion. 
  • Support Team Legal operational efficiency & reporting on key metrics. 
  • Design, build, & improve legal processes & forms.

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant in-house or law firm experience.
  • Product & privacy counseling experience
  • Demonstrated ability to draft, review, & negotiate commercial contracts with a focus on efficiency & superior internal customer support without sacrificing quality.
  • Excellent communication skills & ability to build rapport & trust within Team Legal & with other business team partners. 
  • Excellent judgment, attention to detail & pragmatism in balancing risks. 
  • Able to work well under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable handling tasks & answering questions that are unfamiliar. 

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Prior in-house experience.
  • Experience working in or representing high-growth emerging technology companies. 
  • Experience with corporate governance for a company with international operations.
