Head of WMG Partner Developer Program

Walmart Media Group (the digital ad sales arm for, Jet, Hayneedle, Online Grocery, Vudu, etc.) is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for our suppliers, merchants, stores, GMs, brand advertisers, & agencies. Our full funnel ad solutions leverage Walmarts in-store & online data, extensive reach, & to provide measurable results for our clientele. With a range of flexible pricing & buying models, including self-service; these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, engage with Walmart consumers, & convert Walmart consumers to shoppers.

Walmart Media Group is seeking experienced partner management professionals to help build & sell Walmart Media Groups advertising solutions to our key partners benefiting from our proven conversion driven & brand building solutions. Youll contribute to a high-caliber team in a business that is experiencing rapid & dramatic growth. We are looking for demonstrated performance in a constantly changing, ambiguous environment; & problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.

The Head of WMGs Partner Developer Program will provide ongoing consultative business support to key marketing partners to help grow their businesses while assuring end client success. This role also leads & drives special projects that influence the overall adoption of various business to business technologies & services. You may serve developers building marketing technology integrations across various WMG APIs & technologies (including ads, commerce, & messaging). S/he will build & lead a high-caliber team in a business that is experiencing rapid & dramatic growth. We are looking for a strong leader who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, managing teams & problem-solving. Ideal candidates will have business development/partnership experience & passion for partners, products & people.


  • Act as the main point-of-contact/quarterback
  • Build, develop, retain & motivate team while recruiting for new members & continually raising the bar for talent & capabilities
  • Increase the effectiveness of the team by recognizing opportunities for new approaches
  • Coordinate with other teams, prioritizing their involvement, needs & activation
  • Drive product adoption & provide ongoing education about new & existing WMG ad products & encourage innovation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to provide consultative services to WMG sales & account management teams whose clients are implementing partner solutions/tools in market
  • Be the thought leader at WMG by funneling WMG Partners Developer Program/platform insights & product feedback, influencing roadmaps where necessary
  • Be the advocate for Partners with Sales, work with teams domestically to both assist in development of growth strategies for priority global sales accounts, & develop or join existing SMB Programs to drive scaled growth
  • Work with Sales Ops to set goals, actively measure impact of initiatives & ensure alignment with broader business teams
  • Lead strategic & technical product development integration efforts from concept to launch. Work closely with other teams to prioritize a structure partnerships based on a shared roadmap

  • Track, analyze, & report key quantitative metrics both day-to-day & in quarterly business review format
  • Identify trends & evolving needs, develop programmatic tools & resources to improve efficiency
  • Gather partner feedback to enhance the WMG Partners Developer program & the developer experience
  • Generally, some local travel with occasional regional based events/meetings
  • During partner reviews (held twice per year) extensive travel for 1-2 weeks

Minimum Qualification

  • 10+ years of client facing experience in partner management, account management, or technical sales
  • Experience developing working relationships at all levels of management, internally & externally
  • Experience leading performing teams & mentoring others
  • Sales, business development, consulting & product management experience
  • Quantitative/analytical experience
  • Project management experience, including multitasking to lead & execute multiple projects in parallel

Preferred Qualification

  • Knowledge of API developer products, innovation, technology, & online marketing
  • Ability to translate complexity into action plans & communications
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with peers & managers, both internally/externally
  • Experience working in a fast-paced & collaborative environment
  • BA/BS with excellent academic performance (or equivalent experience), advanced degree
  • Deep passion building great products, startups, developer/partner ecosystem & the business of innovation
  • Experience in leading marketing campaigns
  • Experience working with large datasets
