About the role:

The Creative Director (Writing) is in charge of brand voice & content. Responsible for ensuring that Dig Inns story is cohesively & compellingly told across paid, earned & owned media, the Creative Director tells the brand story. Sitting within the Marketing & Creative team, & collaborating across departments, this agile writer guides creative concepts from inception to executionall the while building a plan of action to bring them to reality.

You will:

  • Leverage the brand narrative to lead creative visioning & content development for internal & external business campaigns
  • Develop compelling storytelling strategies that reinforce our brand vision & ensure our story is properly communicated to relevant audiences
  • Tailor our story to different formats, including:
    • Digital Advertising (Paid Social, Emails, etc.)
    • Physical Advertising (OOH, Print, Mailers, etc.)
    • Menus
    • Restaurant signage
    • Website
    • Mobile App
    • Long-form & day-to-day writing
    • Social Media
  • Work to develop & evolve our tone & voice guidelines for changing business needs, in line with overall brand positioning
  • Partner with key internal & external parties to bring storytelling elements of the brand positioning to fruition
  • Work with key partners to deploy creative & engaging marketing campaigns across communication channels
  • Work with marketing colleagues to test concepts & optimize creative to achieve both brand & performance goals
  • Work with key stakeholders related to people development - develop storytelling around training & team across multiple platforms including:
    • website
    • Recruiting advertisements
    • Internal communications
  • Grow a portfolio of creative partners to collaborate with on various executions
  • Manage the relationship with our PR agency (Derris) on a day-to-day basis
  • Manage a Social Media Coordinator, as well as freelance copywriters (as needed)

You have:

  • About 5 years relevant experience in Editorial or Content roles
  • About 2 years of management experience overseeing creative resources
  • A strong desire to tell incredible stories
  • Demonstrated ability to bring a concept across multiple media to tell one cohesive brand story
  • Production experience, ability to see projects through from ideation to completion
  • A nimble way of thinking - you are known for developing concepts that are both innovative & in line with overall brand strategy
  • Consumer-facing brand experience - food or hospitality experience a plus
  • An openness to feedback & willingness to be flexible as we evolve our strategy in a time of growth
  • Strong knowledge of & passion for the latest trends in food & Dig Inns mission
  • A willingness to roll up your sleeves & execute - everyone wears multiple hats at Dig Inn!
