As an Ad Tech Engineer you will be identifying, defining & implementing systems & operational practices across a variety of market leading programmatic ad platforms, internal teams & technology systems to help grow digital advertising revenue across our portfolio of global sports, entertainment & broadcasting publishers.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our multinational, growing team & become a leader in the ad technologies / programmatic industry. This role is well-suited for a smart, ambitious & naturally curious individual with good knowledge of web & mobile ad serving technologies. You will lead the development of ground-up ad stack while strengthening your analytical thinking, project management skills, consultative sales expertise & account management relationships.

This role is based in our New York office & open to remote work.


  • Working with cross functional teams you will design & implement an ad stack with all required underlying infrastructure for delivery of programmatic ad inventory across dozens of premium publishers in US & EU
  • Manage all aspects of our clients ad inventories including, but not limited to:
    • DFP implementation & optimization
    • Optimization amongst hundreds of ad networks including Facebook, Google Adsense & AdX
    • Header Bidding implementation & optimization
    • Building ad optimization technology to further increase ad revenues, automate ad operations & ensure quality user experience.
  • Integrate multiple services to maximize ad monetization.
  • You will provide consultation & integration guidance to our Sponsorship Sales teams for deal set-up, sourcing, troubleshooting, & optimization
  • You will propose, execute & assess programmatic tests, as well as troubleshoot reporting discrepancies
  • Source, test & implement innovative programmatic products & ad serving beyond traditional banner creative
  • You will work in partnership with external Ad Ops, Customer Experience, Editorial & partner teams to maintain programmatic ad quality standards
  • You will lead our in-house expertise relative to header bidding technologies, auction dynamics, & industry trends


  • 3+ years working with programmatic ad tech platforms, analysis of campaign performance
  • Demonstrates solid grasp technology & commercial trends within ad tech & specifically programmatic ad delivery
  • Proven experience working with teams in a fast-paced environment with direct revenue implications
  • Proven experience with architecting mobile & web ad tech solutions
  • Proven experience with A/B testing
  • Proven experience with audience segmentation & targeting
  • Familiarity with marketing research experiment design & analysis
  • Familiarity with SQL or similar querying languages
  • Good insight & report visualization/presentation skills
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Strong analytical thinking & problem solving skills
  • Ability to identify options, suggest solutions, & act decisively when necessary to advance a project
  • Strong written & oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills. Ability to conscientiously manage & follow up on multiple concurrent tasks & handle requests on tight deadlines

Education & Experience:

  • B.S. or B.A preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with DSPs, SSPs, ad trafficking, ad ops, inventory management & yield optimization
  • 2+ years Experience with software development for an Ad Tech Industry
  • Knowledge of DHTML, experience with ReactJS, AngularJS or similar
  • Good grasp of ad serving/buying platforms, technologies & exchanges
  • Good grasp of data management platforms, audience management platforms, and/or segmentation & targeting technologies
  • Experience working with video ads & VAST requirements
  • Experience working with standard IAB units including rich media & mobile ads
  • Experience working with non-IAB standard units
  • Experience with deploying custom ad units
  • Experience with real-time bidding platforms
  • Experience with yield measurement & optimization platforms
  • Knowledge of viewability standards & compliance metrics
  • Good grasp of data collection & storage privacy requirements across US & EU


  • Demonstrate good understanding & hands-on experience with client-side programming, specifically JavaScript
  • Demonstrate good understanding & hands-on experience with ad tags & 3rd party ad serving
  • Demonstrates good understanding of client-server communication protocols
  • Demonstrates knowledge of mobile ad tech ecosystem
  • Familiarity with R (or similar) for data modeling
