Who you are
You have defined & shared a clear & inspiring long term product vision for consumers & product teams within a rapidly growing marketplace. You have built a product strategy to deliver that vision with Product teams to solve the problems that matter most for consumers.
You have led the conversation for where to focus, how much to invest & where to utilise partnership opportunities to learn quicker & accelerate realizing a vision. You have addressed the balance between foundation, optimisation, & innovation. You have overseen product execution & successfully launched major new product bets in a timely manner. You have built out new Merchandising & Personalization capabilities within Product. You have ensured Product excellence across our consumer platforms. You have evolved A/B testing infrastructure to drive results at scale.
What the role is
As a company we need to accelerate our product offering to consumers now. We must scale & expand our offering through new & innovative product bets & tests that will allow us to become the world's largest liquor store personalized for you.
In order to do that we need to invest in additional product teams & product leadership to manage those teams & what they focus on.
Today we have just two Product teams covering all things consumer across multiple platforms. As a result, much of the work the team has done of late has been foundational & even then, many areas of our products' foundational areas are unowned & not a focus right now but in need of attention (Search, Sort order, Merchandising, etc).
The team's ability & bandwidth to truly innovate & build new features & programs that our consumers will love is extremely limited. There is a massive amount of work to be done for our consumers & endless opportunities & directions that work could head in, by building, buying or partnering with 3rd parties to accelerate the Consumer offering at Drizly. We need to be focused & have dedicated Product leadership thinking about those consumer opportunities holistically & full time, & where to invest our time & resources.
The Product Director will partner with leaders across Drizly to evolve & deliver the Product strategy & resulting roadmap to deliver up our longer term consumer vision. Day to day this will be the Director of Consumer Engineering, the Product Design Manager & the Business lead for Consumer. In addition they will also need to partner with Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, Legal & the Strategic Partnership team to deliver on Consumer Product & marketing goals.
