Were looking for an experienced Web Product & Project Manager to join our web team. This person will work closely with the design & development teams in the redesign & build out of client websites. They will also partner with our Director of UX & Web to grow, evolve, & refine our web offering & process. This multifaceted, client-facing position will contribute to the continued growth & creativity of our team & offering. Every project looks differente-commerce, landing pages, startups, mom & pop businesses, nonprofits, & morebut all are uniquely challenging & highly rewarding. 

Success in this role requires a user-focused approach & empathy for how our solutions impact the end-user & our clients. Were looking for someone who will thrive as a member of a collaborative, casual team that works remotely across multiple locations. The web team utilizes the Agile Sprint approach for getting work done.

Youll be joining a tightly-knit team working with emerging & established brands across CPG, fashion, food & beverage, financial services, nonprofit, health & wellness, technology, & more. The team is an intentional, collaborative, & relentlessly curious mix of strategists, creators, & technology partners with one united goal: making web experiences more beautiful, rewarding, & accessible for their end users and their owners. 

As a Web Product & Project Manager, you will:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with brand, strategy, account, technology/development, UX/UI design, & copywriting peers to effectively manage multiple projects & deadlines.
  • Liaise with finance, operations, & legal teams on project & client needs.
  • Communicate directly with clients & vendors around budgets, timelines, process, & deliverables.
  • Lead & schedule necessary project-related meetings such as kickoffs, work sessions, & deliverable reviews.
  • Create budgets, project plans, & SOWs with an understanding of best practices, potential third-party capabilities, time requirements, & broader portfolio business objectives .
  • Be responsible for all vendor agreements & other contract documents.
  • Report to the Account leads & (S)VP on resourcing, budgeting, & revenue realization.
  • Participate in an agile environment with an iterative creative process, motivated by collaboration & critique.
  • Understand the technical & creative constraints of a project, making strategic compromises with client stakeholders when necessary. Ensure structural & design concepts are possible in reality, across multiple devices.
  • Partner with the Director of UX & Web to strategize & implement new/evolving workflows & processes to tackle the unique challenges of each project & client.
  • Manage client & internal expectations for features & functionality. This includes performing a functional intake of design concepts to ensure they are consistent with scope & tech capabilities. This also includes leading meetings with clients & communicating deadlines for review & feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of functional specifications, & facilitate collaboration on the specifications with relevant team members.
  • Capture & communicate non-functional requirements for projects, including browser, device, language, & usability requirements.
  • Provide training & functional walkthroughs to content editors who have varying levels of technical knowledge. Also develop & deliver user guides & functional documentation that is valuable to the client as a part of the handoff process.
  • Partner with development teams to perform functional testing of client content management system solutions (CMS) & data integrations & ensure functionality performs as expected within the CMS & on the website.
  • Where applicable, apply your skill set to real-time consulting & problem-solving in a collaborative environment with clients. 


  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a product manager, web project manager, or consultant. 
  • Prior experience with website implementations, web projects, & web content management systems. Familiarity & prior experience with WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Webflow, & alternative (headless) build methods. 
  • Must be comfortable communicating with clients & taking the lead on client calls.
  • Prior experience with training clients on how to use various web CMSs, preferred. 
  • Knowledge of organic Search Engine Optimization best practices & prior experience integrating these practices into web solutions. 
  • Knowledge of web accessibility best practices.
  • Knowledge & passion for emerging technologies & trends in web development.
  • Previous experience in an agency setting or consulting role, preferred.

  • Must be able to balance multiple projects at once.

  • Must be proactive, self-motivated, & solution-orientedwe are paving new paths within this agency rather than treading familiar ones.
  • Must be able to communicate & collaborate effectively with co-workers from a variety of professional disciplines & at different levels of authority, all in a remote / hybrid environment.
  • Must be a good writer & able to clearly & concisely document functional & technical information.
  • A strong understanding of agency processes, including creative production & digital buildsinterest in optimizing those processes is a strong plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • New Projects
    • Develop initial cost estimates for executions in partnership with relevant vendors given project knowns & assumptions.
    • Write Statement of Work based on project requirements, Client requirements, project plan, & larger executional context.
    • Schedule execution for projects given client needs, current projects, & pipeline.
    • Budget management, including review of actual hours & expenses, against timeline.
    • Scope tracking (timing, deliverables); if a change occurs, working with Director of UX & Web to determine what can be done in scope & what cant.
    • Proactive schedule management, ensuring inter-departmental teams know timing for meetings, milestones, deliverables, & completion.
    • Work with vendors & agency specialty departments (in/strat, smart, tech, etc), on budget, timing, & task management to ensure their inputs & outputs on a project are aligned with larger timing & milestone needs.
  • Project Wrap
    • Ensure smooth handoff of the new site to clients, as well as any relevant documentation.
    • Sign off on project expenses from Finance.
    • Ensure all project wrap documents are done by appropriate team members (completion reports).
