Role Overview

The Social Media & Content Manager is responsible for developing & executing our social strategy & creating world-class content.  The overall focus of the role is to drive Landor & Fitch social reputation & grow our followership across key targets including press, key opinion formers/influencers, prospective clients, WPP operating companies, existing clients & Landor & Fitchs people.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Fundamentals

  • Creates social marketing opportunities
  • Supports internal & external special projects
  • Works with the GMD to define & evangelize social marketing & content development & best practices regionally & globally
  • Develops & drives forward our culture & an agile way of thinking & working within marcoms
  • Actively builds relationships with all Landor & Fitch studios

People, Team & relationships

  • Understands team interaction & roles of all team members
  • Fosters communication & cohesion between internal teams & functions
  • Leverages the worldwide Landor & Fitch network to support local & regional social media marketing
  • Leverages WPP network to understand latest social media & content tools & shared resources

Social Media

  • Develops & executes Landor & Fitch social strategy to increase online engagement & brand awareness
  • Oversees & manages all global Landor & Fitch social channels
  • Develops & executes targeted social media campaigns
  • Manages & grows our follower base through consistent & strategic content
  • Manages social media profiles & channels for key executives (8-10)
  • Measures, analyzes & reporst on goals & performance across social channels, & Exec profiles including quarterly analysis & annual evaluation for business plan

PR

  • Contributes to our PR strategy & ensure that our social media & PR strategies dovetail to best support our Marcoms & Business Development goals

Content

  • Creates content strategy for social channels, based on new business & client needs, trends & audience personas
  • Develops & manages the global Landor & Fitch content calendar & strategic pillars framework; coordinating, editing & managing content from contributors across our network
  • Acts as a Landor & Fitch brand story-teller; copywrite & curate the global Landor & Fitch messaging & content including thought leadership, case studies & press across all channels
  • Uses social media analytics to measure performance & optimize content 

New Business Development

  • Develops profile raising social media linked to our new business strategy highlighting thought pieces, news-led press relations, research studies, awards, conference speaking, client events
  • Supports special projects, as requested by the Global Marketing Director

Project/ Financial Management

  • Responsible for the effective management of project & team resources
  • Establishes & manage global social media budgets

Required experience

  • Strong working knowledge of key brand concepts related to brand/corporate identity, customer experience, service design, motion design etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of social media marketing on a global basis (WeChat, Weibo etc. is advantageous)
  • Proven writing skills with an understanding of different styles & approaches
  • Proven understanding of constructing & editing documents ranging from blog posts to long form content
  • Capacity to persuade & be credible at a senior level
  • Proven ability to build rapport, & solid lasting relationships with clients & peers
  • Natural desire to work collaboratively with multiple cross functional peers
