About the Role

Harrys is seeking a highly talented & motivated Graphic Designer to join our Growth Marketing team. As the designer on the growth team, this role person will be responsible for developing performance creative across multiple channels, including digital, paid social, display banners, print, & direct mail.

Design efforts on the marketing team at Harrys are aimed at driving engagement, primarily to acquire new customers. You wont just be making people aware of the product your designs need to be disruptive enough to actually get them to try it! This role will work closely with our Growth team & will focus on developing assets for our acquisition marketing activity. 

This person will need to have a range of skills across both digital design & graphic design. If youre a superstar in typography, layout design, & editing/animating & have a passion for social channels & compelling visual storytelling, this role could be for you! 

Role & Responsibilities

Designing Digital Ads Youll develop ads for digital marketing channels like Facebook, Instagram, & Display banners using multiple ad formats including both static & animated assets. Youll be able to deliver them quickly & efficiently to a high standard, & be able to deliver on both simple optimisations & brand new concepts.

Designing Landing Pages Youll work with our Growth Marketing team to design landing pages that allow for a seamless user journey from advertisement to checkout. 

Designing Print Ads Youll develop print-ready ads for offline print marketing channels such as inserts & direct mail campaigns.

Concept ideation & development To continue to grow, we cant keep doing the same-old-same-old. As well as our ongoing business as usual, we need to test new approaches to keep our brand feeling fresh & appeal to as broad a range of audiences as possible. Youll partner closely with our Copywriter to ideate new creative & messaging angles to capture consumers attention.

All In, All Together Things always crop up at Harrys, & we need people who can roll up their sleeves, react to last minute requests, & reprioritize workload quickly in order to deliver.

Experience & qualifications

  • 1+ years professional experience in graphic and/or digital design
  • Degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, Visual Communication or related field
  • Current portfolio of self-created work showcasing strong technical design skills with an emphasis on strong layout design, typographic skills & animation for creative marketing campaigns & assets 
  • High proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, & After Effects for motion graphics. Familiarity with Sketch/Figma is a plus.
  • Basic photo editing/retouching skills
  • A working knowledge of html, css & web standards (desirable)
  • Knowledge in digital photography is a plus
  • Comfortable having work evaluated based on performance metrics, & leveraging that feedback to iterate on your designs & come up with new concepts
  • Intellectual curiosity constantly working with channel managers to understand whats working, what isnt, & using that to ideate
  • Organized, dependable & self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a hands-on, fast paced environment delivering things on time, on budget, to a high standard
  • Sense of humor -- we take our work seriously & ourselves un-seriously
  • Thrives on direct, honest & supportive communication.
  • Able to work under tight deadlines while juggling multiple projects.
  • Digital-first thinker understanding of ongoing digital & social media trends, customer digital behaviors, & the wider digital marketing marketplace.
