What youll do:

As the Head of Fulfillment Operations, you will lead & manage all operations in our Brooklyn, NY fulfillment center & enable us to scale up our operations as we grow. You will be responsible for strategic planning & execution to enhance profitability, productivity & efficiency throughout our operations.

  • Supervise fulfillment managers & supervisors & provide support to resolve issues for all orders fulfillment, inventory & supplier management
  • Optimize/review internal daily/weekly/monthly operations reporting scorecard
  • Monitor & review business performance trends, identify issues, perform root-cause analysis & implement changes
  • Manage performance & quality of product & be the champion for outstanding customer experience
  • Lead Continuous Improvement culture & initiatives
  • Actively collaborate with internal teams for IT, HR, Engineering & external manufacturers, suppliers & vendors
  • Oversee labor planning, ensure accountability & employee engagement
  • Coach & develop fulfillment manager, supervisors & associates
  • Develop annual budget for operations department in conjunction with finance team
  • Spearhead implementation of Fulfillment Automation & new IT solutions

Who you are:

  • Backed by 8-10 years of related experience & progressive career working in fulfillment operations
  • Hold a Bachelors degree in business or supply chain operations
  • Familiar with operations & supply chain issues related to fulfillment & automation as well as technology platforms
  • Experienced in examining & re-engineering operations & procedures, formulating policy & developing & implementing new strategies & procedures
  • Have a track record of success leading & developing teams; servant leadership skills a must
  • An entrepreneurial self-starter & analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Able to collaborate cross-functionally to improve customer service levels, inventory turns, & manufacturing efficiencies
  • Someone with a positive attitude who is passionate about working in a growing company & thinking creatively for long-term & short-term solutions

Extra carrots:

  • MBA degree preferred
  • Bonus points for experience in Dietary Supplements or Pharmaceutical fulfillment and/or eCommerce
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
