At Square Developer platform, we are focused on enabling developers to build applications & integrations to meet the needs of a wide range of merchants. This team is driving the evolution of our systems to an open platform that provides access to a rich ecosystem of services for merchants.
Our IAM services enable businesses to control access to applications, employees & other businesses. With the growth of the Square platform, the workload & access requirements have evolved significantly, demanding the next order of scale & flexibility in our access management systems.
We are looking for a senior technical leader to enable this shift while maintaining a seamless experience for our customers & internal services. As one of Square's senior-most individual technical contributors, you will work on some of our hardest problems. This hugely impactful & visible role requires a senior technical leader who can build & help drive the long-term vision for the space.
In this role, you will:
Drive long-term thinking & innovation in an ambiguous space & influence other engineering leaders to integrate with this system across all Square products.
Have a broad impact on the engineering community at Square - as you lead by example through your work, mentorship & set the standard for engineering excellence across the organization.
Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
10+ years of software engineering experience.
Experience working with Identity & Access management systems.
Prior experience working on building platforms for Developers.
Experience building large software services that have successfully been delivered to customers
Able to balance trade-offs, driving timely practical solutions while advocating a long-term vision.
Constantly learning, & have a strong sense of ownership - inspiring others to what's possible.
