What you'll do
Serve as the technical lead & owner of technical deal strategy
Collaborate with Account Executive teams to uncover customer business goals, needs & pains - & how Optimizely will address them
The Solution Engineer determines which Optimizely & third party technologies to leverage in customer driven architectures, based upon product knowledge, industry experience & industry standard frameworks (f.e. microservices, etc)
Lead the technical implementation during a Proof of Concept & work with prospective customers to integrate Optimizely into their technology stack, ensuring early customer success & a long-term business relationship
Demonstrate the value & technical capabilities of the Optimizely platform to Product, Engineering & Marketing audiences
Conduct architecture & technical workshops
Design, build & maintain Optimizely demo & learning systems, strategies & resources
Stay on top of industry news, technology products, platforms & partners to ensure you & your team provide & maintain a deep industry & ecosystem expertise
Partner closely with our customer success & professional service teams to ensure continuity of an amazing customer experience
Collaborate closely with Product & Engineering teams to help influence product roadmap based on market/customer requirements
Assist sales teams in responses to RFPs, RFIs & technical requirements documents.
Travel to customer engagements (25% of time)
B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Architecture or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience in a customer facing consultative role
Experience in sales/pre-sales strongly desired.
Good understanding of architectural principles of cloud based platforms & enterprise application integration, including SaaS, PaaS. Service Oriented Architectures, etc.
When building product, you understand the difference & importance of Discovery vs Delivery.
You have development experience with one of the following:
You have great communication & presentation skills. You feel comfortable leading presentations & demos to large groups, both technical & non-technical
You can tie business problems to technical solutions & understand technology value propositions
You have a demonstrated capacity to absorb new concepts & technologies quickly
You thrive in uncertain, high-pressure, & high-impact conditions
You speak English at a professional level. Dutch or other additional languages are a plus.
