The acquisition will allow BentoBox to support more restaurants than ever before.

About the Role:

This role is focused on working with the BentoBox leadership team in the development of the long-range strategy for the Restaurant Vertical through the identification of opportunities and/or risks that could influence business growth & profitability. Within the scope of this individuals duties are competitor benchmarking, keeping a pulse on industry trends & strengthening our understanding of our customer base. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for enhancing our corporate development strategy; working in collaboration with finance & product teams to evaluate build/buy/partner options to address key capability gaps.

This individual must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment & will be able to serve as the translation layer between corporate strategy & functional leadership. You should be someone who is passionate about driving business results through a cross-functional approach that balances both macro trends & company-specific dynamics.

What Youll Do:

  • Support the creation, refinement, & success of the long-term strategic plan for the Restaurant Vertical within FISV
  • Building the measurement infrastructure to track progress towards successful achievement of our strategy
  • Work in partnership with the PMO team/special projects to identify & lead strategic initiatives, as appropriate, & develop OKRs to enable alignment & tracking 
  • Strengthen our framework for corporate development; working cross-functionally to identify & vet different M&A opportunities
  • Serve as the internal expert on industry trends, competitive intelligence & macro trends; developing a mechanism to ensure key insights are shared across the business

Experience Were Looking For:

  • 6+ years experience working in fast-paced dynamic environments such as growth/late stage startups or management consulting, with a strong preference for experience in corporate strategy/business strategy 
  • Experience working in the restaurant industry is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to use multiple data points & perspectives to research, scope & propose new strategic alternatives to accelerate our strategy & vision (including competitive intelligence)
  • Ability to accelerate our corporate development strategy; with M&A experience delivering a significant benefit 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize strategic insights in an actionable & compelling manner
  • Experience relationship-building, specifically collaborating in a cross-functional manner to influence peers & executive leadership on sophisticated business topics
  • A proven commercial sense with a bias towards improving core business metrics (both top & bottom line)
