Maven is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our growing IT Team in the New York City office. This position will monitor, maintain, & support Mavens computer systems, applications, & network.  You will assist with the day-to-day support & operations of the Maven user base. 

As an IT Engineer at Maven, your core responsibilities include:

  • Spend approximately:
    • One third of your time maintaining existing IT infrastructure & supporting Mavens employees
    • One third of your time onboarding & offboarding new & former employees & contractors as Maven continues to grow
    • One third of your time working with the internal IT team on new initiatives & projects
  • Support products such as Google Workspaces, Jamf, Sophos, & our managed fleet of macOS devices
  • Test & roll out new pieces of technology, like operating system upgrades, software updates, security & configuration changes
  • Manage & configure hardware for onboarding users
  • Maintain asset inventory in Jamf & Freshservice
  • Provide first-level technical support to our internal users

Were looking for someone to bring core capabilities to our team:

  • 3+ years of experience in an IT support/engineering role
  • Experience using Google Workspaces products (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, etc) & administration
  • Experience with Jamf software & Apple device management 
  • Using Jamf to create packages, deploy applications
  • Experience with deploying MacOS upgrades/updates
  • Overall application packaging & testing experience
  • MacOS support experience
  • Knowledge of security products & concepts (anti-malware, anti-spam, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting & problem solving skills
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills

Helpful experiences & backgrounds:

  • Technical education/degree, or equivalent working experience a plus
  • Shell scripting for MacOS
  • Experience using asset management tools like Freshservice or equivalent
  • Jamf automated device enrollment or equivalent
