At GoCardless, we want Marketing Operations to form the foundation upon which the business can grow. While we are a small team, we are well resourced & have put together a world class technology stack that enables us to target & sell to both SMB & Enterprise. We have a strong bias towards quantitative marketing, & aim to use automation, data & a test-and-learn mentality to continuously guide our approach.

The role

Were looking for a Campaign Operations Manager to help us evolve our Growth organisation & help us achieve our goals more efficiently using technical knowledge & problem solving abilities.

You thrive in an environment that requires you to bridge competing priorities between global, regional & cross-functional stakeholders. You will play a critical role in scaling our growth engine by managing cross-functional campaign workflows. This will include overseeing overall campaign project management to assure that we eliminate time sensitive bottlenecks & produce consistently high-quality campaign initiatives.

If successful, you will be a key member of a highly ambitious Growth organisation at one of Europes most exciting scale-ups, & can have a meaningful impact on the trajectory of the company. You will join a well resourced Marketing Operations team with a genuinely world class tech stack, in an environment which values automation, data & experimentation. Responsibilities include

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design & develop marketing campaign planning, brief development, concept testing, production & post-launch optimisation & evaluation
  • Manage global campaign operations intake, ensuring adherence to processes & progressive optimization of campaign operations structures
  • Build, review & test campaign components to optimise workflow, tracking, data flows
  • Optimise campaign execution process to improve campaign timelines & velocity
  • Train marketing managers on campaign process to ensure consistency
  • Provide subject matter expertise of marketing campaigns, workflows & automation
  • Manage day-to-day operations & troubleshooting of campaign setups
  • Develop process documentation & specifications around campaign execution

About you

  • You are intellectually curious, like to look for new ways of thinking about things, & seek to apply what youve learned to new areas
  • You are impact oriented & think deeply about how you can measure the effects of what you do
  • You are a problem solver, capable of thinking outside the box to find solutions - even when the problem is not explicitly defined. 
  • You are very comfortable working with, interpreting & communicating with data
  • You are a strong written & verbal communicator, capable of adapting your message to suit different audiences
  • You enjoy & are comfortable working with technology. Ideally you will have experience with CRM (Salesforce), MAP (Pardot), Attribution (Bizible), Orchestration (Engagio) & Ad Networks (Demandbase, LinkedIn) but more importantly you have a track record of picking up new systems
  • You have a strong sense of Team & are willing to support those around you

Their feedback helped us develop our 'Adaptive Working' model, rolling out mid to late 2021. It's built around three components: days in the office, remote working, & enhanced environments. This means teams will be able to come into a GC office between one & three days per week for collaboration & teamwork, with the rest spent working remotely to enable a healthy work/life balance. Well also be reimagining our office environments so they enhance the collaboration & socialisation aspects our GeeCees told us they value most highly.

We continually review this approach in conjunction with the changing restrictions in each of our locations; additionally we offer support to maintain wellbeing & comfort, including subsidised home office equipment, workstation assessments & a range of remote social activities you can dip in & out of whenever you fancy.
