Glossier is looking to expand its roster of creatives that dream up surprising & delightful experiences, both online & IRL. Our in-house creative team is responsible for a wide range of work, ultimately taking an inclusive, discerning, & most importantly personalized approach to the brand voice, art direction, packaging & physical experiences.
We are seeking an organized NYC based designer who will focus primarily on expressions of the brand identity, such as digital & out-of-home campaigns, physical merch (+ stickers), email & social media assets. Candidates express a curiosity about stretching a brand language, have an obsessive attention to design detail, & a nuanced understanding of todays internet culture & trends. You will become an expert in Glossier design standards & a go-to for all things on-brand.
Six Month Expectations
- Support with the development of Glossiers design approach for projects ranging from digital marketing campaigns to physical brand collateral, with guidance from design leads
- Design & export digital assets for paid, organic social, & email channels
- Partner cross functionally with project managers, copywriting partners & other design contributors to ensure delivery of assets are on-brief & timely
- Deeply understand Glossiers existing brand standards in a way that is consistent with our other brand touchpoints, moodboards, & design references, to then implement them in projects
- Confidently present & explain design decisions & concepts to the creative team & cross functional partners
- Brainstorm fresh ideas for digital marketing, packaging & experiences
- Contribute to visual research for ongoing brand evolution
Twelve+ Month Expectations
- Independently own design approach over digital brand design (paid, email, & social channels)
- Build & release print mechanicals
- Maintain & enforce design standards (typography, materials, imagery, color palettes)
- Help evolve visual systems as Glossier continues to grow into new markets, partnerships, legal requirements, etc.
- Ongoing creative exploration & development
Qualifications
- BA/BFA in Graphic Design or similar, with 2-5 years related experience
- Proficiency in Figma, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects
- Passion for detail-oriented work, typography & good design
- You know your JPEGs, PNGs & GIFs
- A design portfolio that demonstrates the ability to work within existing design languages as well as establish new ones
- Ability to manage multiple projects, communicate effectively, prioritize own workload, & work independently
- A love for beauty, art & the internet
In accordance with the applicable law, the following represents a good faith estimate of the minimum & maximum compensation range for this position:
- The estimated annual pay range for this role is $64,000 - $83,000.
- There may be future opportunities for continued pay progression based on continued strong performance in the role.
- Full-time positions are also eligible for a competitive compensation & benefits package that include medical health insurance, 401K, equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units, Paid Time Off, Short Term & Long Term Disability leave, & a range of other benefits. Compensation for the role will be determined based on permissible, non discriminatory factors such as a candidates qualifications, skills, & experience.
