The Country Manager for Bahrain is responsible for setting the direction of the overall business strategies, objectives, targets & plans in each market through business performance & relationship management. To manage the Business Development function & achieve business targets through growing the existing business & through identifying new business opportunities & introducing & ensuring the implementation of new products & services. To act as the Visa representative & spokesperson in those markets.
Regional strategic planning
To manage the development of the market strategic plan by integrating & setting priorities based on information about the market, clients' business plans, Visa priorities & competitor activities. Identify success factors for progressive & dynamic business growth. Ensure that the plan is understood & shared by functional teams within Visa. Develop account plans for clients & achieve business objectives of clients & Visa through planned & well-executed initiatives.
Ensure the development of country plans & key account plans, with corresponding tactics & actions to achieve defined goals. Ensure consistency with the Middle East & International strategic plans. Ensure that all internal/ weekly/ monthly reports are carried out in a timely & regular fashion. Share purpose & objectives with staff members
Accountable for achieving business targets through growing existing business CIF/PV/MV & developing new business opportunities. Monitor business results of the individual countries & member banks & anticipate challenges & take proactive measures to accomplish country targets.
Develop, maintain & cultivate close relationships with decision-makers & senior management of member clients, partner companies, central banks & national banking associations. Understand their business strategies, priorities, needs & business processes, present to them strategic ideas & share Visa's views on industry developments & dynamics & advise them how Visa products can impact their results. Whenever required, be the senior Visa representative at Forums & other national Member meetings.
Monitor the development of the banking & financial services industry across the region, analyze trends & understand factors impacting current & potential business results of Visa. Maintain close contacts with national organisations & central banks & be aware of any developments which could present a threat to Visa.
