What You'll Do:

We are seeking a Production Accountant to join the ATTN: Production Studio. Youll report to the VP, Production & will work in partnership with Finance & Production to manage finances for original & branded content projects. 

You are a passionate expert in costs, managing financial records, & production. Responsibilities include: 

• Manage Finances & maintain financial records during entirety of the production (this includes pre-production, production, post-production & wrap)

• Will work closely with line producers, supervising producers, & the other above the line production staff
• Manage the day-to-day accounting financial reporting against the budgets
• Ensure that all legal requirements are met
• Manage cash flow & liaise with financiers to ensure payments are made in a timely manner
• Perform & manage production accounting activities across the series production
• Manage production freelance payroll operations
• Manage cost reporting - generate reports for operational expenses & accounting variances
• Adhere to the accounting standards & procedures for operational efficiency
• Perform account reconciliations on a daily, weekly, & monthly basis
• Manage payment policies
• Resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner
• Manage job numbers & chart of accounts
• Work with CFO to address billing inquiries & issues
• Perform revenue analysis & ensure accounting activities are completed within deadlines
• Identify & flag risks to the VP, Production  
• Generate account related reports to management & other production teams when needed

Who You Are:

• 7-10 years of Production Accounting experience
• BA in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar
• Meticulous bookkeeping & accounting skills
• Good understanding of the general TV series production process
• Working knowledge of US GAAP & commonly-used practices, & procedures within Accounting & Finance (accruals, capitalizing, matching principle)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft, google-suite, movie magic, & other financial software
• Excellent Excel & math skills including formulas, subtotals, V-lookups, etc.
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working on TV shows
• Results-oriented & resourceful leader
• Able to ramp up quickly & establish themselves as a credible partner with the ability to influence business leaders & teams, as well as external customers
• Sharp communication, organizational, & analytical skills
