Hi, we're Oscar. Were hiring a Senior Director to join our Insurance Operations team in our New York City office.

About this role:

The Insurance Operations team translates business strategy & regulatory requirements into scalable, automated processes, & identifies opportunities for optimization.

As a Senior Director & leader in the Insurance Operations team, you will be responsible for building, scaling & optimizing processes related to Billing, Claims, Eligibility, Commissions Network Data, Contracting, & Provider Operations teams in NYC & Tempe for the IFP, MA, & Small Group lines of business. You will also be responsible for managing & executing cross-functional processes related to business & operational readiness, & operational excellence. Your job is to design & build the machine so your teammates can drive efficiently & effectively. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the organization that supports & builds scalable processes for Billing, Claims, Eligibility, for Network Data, & Contracting operations. Identify the most important & impactful processes & systematically map them, identify pain points, & work to apply technology to automate & improve them while ensuring compliance, quality & cost effectiveness

  • Implement regulatory & business requirements into workflows & processes

  • Find synergies between workflows & processes & work to eliminate redundancies

  • Work closely with leaders across the organization to ensure successful implementation & execution

  • Set up monitoring & metrics to consistently & accurately track outcomes

Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in a cross-functional operations & analytical environment

  • Outstanding structured, systematic, & critical thinking

  • Strong experience in process / workflow building, operational improvement, & project management

  • Strong people management skills & team leadership

  • Ability to form data-driven, concrete answers in a world with imperfect information

  • Proficient in Excel. Python & SQL are a plus, willingness to learn are a must

  • Excellent leadership & executive communication skills to drive agreement & results across a wide range of stakeholders

Bonus Points:

  • Experience or qualification in Lean methodology

  • Healthcare experience

  • Experience in scaling an operation & executing in an environment undergoing rapid growth
