One of the most ambitious missions that SpaceX has undertaken to date, the Starlink satellite constellation is our solution to providing reliable internet to the entire world.  We are looking for a talented network engineer to join our Starlink Network Operations Engineering team to help build & operate a network with global scale. You will be part of a  team with significant impact on the service delivered to our customers around the world.


  • Maintain the uptime & performance of the terrestrial network
  • Improve overall network performance based upon system performance metrics
  • Assist in managing & troubleshooting orbital assets to terrestrial network interop, terrestrial network interconnections, network co-location sites & points of presence (POPs)
  • Assist in updating system configuration & firmware
  • Assist in supporting customers escalations


  • 1+ years of professional hands on experience working for an ISPs or large enterprises Network Operation Center (NOC) or Security Operation Center (SOC)
  • Operational experience in a Linux & Windows production environment & virtualization
  • Cisco, Juniper or other industry certifications


  • Bachelors degree in a technical or engineering discipline
  • Understanding of service provider & home networks technologies including but not limited to:
    • Connectivity (Ethernet, WiFi, WDM, IPv4 & IPv6)
    • Switching & Routing
    • Internet services (DNS, DHCP, NTP, UPnP, NAT)
    • Knowledge & troubleshooting about most common consumer devices (NAS, IoT, Smart devices)
    • Residential or enterprise WiFi design & remote troubleshooting
  • Residential or business direct customer interaction, customer support preferred
  • Experience with Python and/or bash scripting
  • Familiarity with network health monitoring systems such as Observium, Solarwinds or Nagios
  • Experience with hands-on work in bringing up network infrastructure
  • Experience creating documentation & procedures


  • Must be willing to do some travel domestically & globally in the future when needed 
  • Must be available for on-call rotations
  • Must be willing to work 3rd shift (Nights)
