Your Opportunity

The Senior Consultant on Data Virtualization & Cloud Data Integration will have an extensive scope of responsibilities deploying specialized integration capability in complex environments & may take full responsibility for strategic development of staff working in daily operations or in unfamiliar & unpredictable situations.

The technical services would cater towards integrating data in a virtual manner for operational and/or informational purposes - Integration of multiple data sources for a Customer Service, Multichannel IT Infrastructure; implementation of Logical Data Warehouses & Virtual Datamarts to enable modern Business Intelligence solutions, Integration Layers for Hadoop-based Data Lakes, & support for Agile Operational Reporting on a diverse Big Data infrastructure are just a few flavours of your future projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

In this role you will require a combination of high technical expertise, customer & partner relationship management skills to conduct on-site & off-site engagements. In this position you will work directly with engineers, managers & business users in order to understand business & technical requirements & provide guidance & solutions.

You will oversee the successful delivery of technical servicesincluding determining scope details & monitoring the progress to ensure it conforms to customer expectations & contractual agreements.

Also you will need to maintain strong relationships with architects, technical teams, & leadership (both business & IT) across customers & partners' organizations.

Product & technical knowledge:

  • Obtain & maintain strong knowledge of the Denodo products, including overview of our key & advanced features & benefits, services offerings, differentiation, & competitive positioning.

  • Constantly learn new things & maintain an overview of modern technologies.

  • Be able to address a majority of technical questions concerning customization, integration, enterprise architecture & general feature / functionality of our product.

  • Ability to lead custom deployments dealing with business-focused & engineering-focused requirements.

  • Ability to deliver product training to customers & partners.

  • Provide timely, prioritized & complete customer-based feedback to Product Management, Sales, Support and/or Development regarding client's business cases, requirements & issues.

Customer / Partner engagement:

  • Develop relationships with key business stakeholders & act as a trusted advisor to major Denodo customers.

  • Manage client expectations, establish credibility at all levels within the client & build problem-solving partnerships with the client, partners & colleagues.

  • Enthusiastically present software solutions to customers, from IT managers & technicians to C-level executives.

Organizational skills:

  • Know when & where to escalate within the technical organization, & make effective use of those resources.

  • Manage consultants & engineers, support in escalation situations, performance, & general team coordination within your region.

  • Coordinate team members & partners to ensure the right resources are working on the right tasks at the right time, with clear expectations of milestones & goals.

  • Promote knowledge & best practices while managing deliverables & client expectations.

  • Build interpersonal relationships with other teams
Qualifications

We'll need you to have a good foundation of technical knowledge, as well as project & scope management expertise, as you'll establish the technical & non-technical enablement needs for the Services Engineering team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in Information technology.

  • Experience in customer-facing positions as a professional services consultant or engineer.

  • University Degree relating to information systems or computer science (Bachelor or Master).

Required skills:

  • Good Understanding of Integration Domain is a must (EAI / SOA / BPM / API / ETL).

  • Solid understanding of SQL & good grasp of relational & analytical database management theory & practice.

  • Good knowledge of JDBC, XML, JMS, Web technologies & Cloud environments.

  • Excellent verbal, presentation & written communication skills to be able to interact with technical & business counterparts.

  • Willingness to travel.

  • Being available for working outside of normal business hours, holidays, & some weekends when needed for escalations during on-call periods.
