Summary of Role

The Sales Associate will be an integral addition to our B2B sales & growth strategy in 2021 & beyond. The selected candidate will work in two capacities:

     (1) initially the associate will support our existing strategic account teams efforts by shadowing our team on key pitches, learning the business & providing sales nurturing support through research, project management (of the pitch), organization on leads & timely follow-up; 

     (2) after this training period, the associate will provide account support for startup, SMB, & non-core-category clients (ranging potentially from retail to pharma/healthcare), by super servicing them with proactive creative solutions (that match the focus & quality of work we deliver for our top accounts). Daily duties include client/prospect correspondence, scheduling sales meetings, conducting account, competitive & market research, supporting discovery & capabilities meetings. The sales associate ultimately will be responsible for creating proposals & pitching solutions--in many cases unearthing solutions to problems clients have not previously articulated to a partner--developing & qualifying a robust sales pipeline, ideation for creative/strategic opportunities, & pitching & closing new business with largely new clients.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on uncovering new business opportunities & driving revenue
  • Convert prospect conversations into sales, focusing on our suite of capabilities and
    services
  • Develop strategic plans for key accounts & categories
  • Develop strong ties with key accounts/clients in an effort to grow revenues
  • Manage B2B sales processes (both internally & externally)
  • Partner with internal marketing & client services teams with clear communications to
    ensure we nurture leads in a timely manager, win new business, & have successful
    engagements
  • Networking skills - demonstrating a love of people, a talent for outreach, a curiosity in our clients & their business objectives, & a discipline around meeting new people; showcasing an ability to represent the company through virtual industry events (and eventually in person events, post-COVID)

Required Skills

  • A passion for video, podcasting, live events, influencers & digital storytelling; & for unearthing opportunities to tell stories 
  • Deep curiosity & interest in our clients & their missions & business goals
  • 1-2 years sales experience with digital products/services/creative (ideally B2B), showing consistent achievement & growth
  • Excellent communication skills: written, oral & listening
  • Intellectual curiosity, a student of the business, & a love of learning
  • An excellent asker of questions & gatherer of intelligence
  • A high EQ & a love of meeting new people
  • Intrinsic motivation, a strong work ethic
