The Videographer/Photographer is responsible for planning & capturing video footage at shoots for client & Likeable brand content creation. This role will partner with Art Directors & other various members of the Creative team to concept & execute dynamic video & photo assets. This process will entail: storyboarding concepts, executing shoots as a camera operator and/or photographer, acting as the on-site DP, & editing/retouching in post-production. Shoot locations include in-studio setups & remote locations.
Essential Job Functions:
Work closely with the creative team to produce video and/or photo concepts,
understanding client goals & the brands look & feel.
Direct and/or act as DP at shoots inclusive of actors & extras; have the people skills to get whats needed out of talent; demonstrate attention to detail on shoots, considering the visual minutiae in each shot.
Capture & upload footage & images, leading to editing & processing with quality & platform in mind.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of up-to-date video/photo best practices & procedures as well as design principles such as framing & color.
Provide asset-specific direction to other creatives as needed.
Maintain prop & equipment inventory documentation.
Archive footage & images & maintain database for each client.
Manage a photography and/or video assistant, providing delegation, insight, & direction.
Keep up to date on media trends & provide solutions on how to translate to social media content.
Proven professional shooting experience
Intimate knowledge of the latest visual trends, passion for content creation, & a proven track record of creating content that fits within a specific editorial voice & aesthetic
Understanding of lighting & sound for shoots
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Organized before, during, & after shoots through the delivery of the final product
Videography or Photography degree & 3-5 years of professional experience
3+ years of agency, publisher, or production experience
Knowledge of editing, retouching, & manipulation techniques
Proficiency with traditional & modern equipment
Solid knowledge of Adobe Premiere & After Effects, Photoshop, Capture One or other video- & photo-specific software
Competency in applying best practices & techniques
Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
