We are looking for an experienced Media Planner to build strategies that deliver on performance & branding objectives across TV, Radio & OOH media for an IAC brand. The Head of Media Planning will be responsible for using external research, internal performance data, & critical thinking to develop & communicate media plans across team-members & senior leadership. Must have a passion for media & be well-versed in the latest trends & opportunities. Proven experience working with direct response & performance-focused brands is a must. The Head of Media Planning will be a part of a newly formed in-house agency & as such the successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the team & what tools & strategies are used.

This role is open to a remote location.

As the Head of Media Planning, here's what you'll be doing:

  • Working closely with the rest of the team, develop & communicate an Upfront & Scatter Market strategy, including developing insights, pulling & analyzing research, & fully understanding performance trends
  • Develop an intimate knowledge of the target market, & analyze data on media consumption behaviors, channels, networks, programs & emerging media (advanced TV & audio) to inform where & how to best reach these consumers
  • Work with Buyers to understand marketplace trends including rates, inventory constraints, new programs/initiatives, etc. to help inform planning process
  • Work with Analysts to understand granular performance data & make optimization recommendations using a thorough knowledge of the marketplace
  • Remain current on market & media trends & the implications to the business
  • Develop a point of view on new media opportunities & present findings
  • Develop & present well-researched, data-based media strategies to the team & senior leadership regularly

Here's what you bring to the table:

  • 7+ years TV media planning experience for response / metrics-focused brands
  • Proven success planning strategies for brands with large media budgets with high performance expectations
  • Experience with response-focused, drive to web campaigns preferred
  • Ability to plan a buy to achieve performance goals while also balancing branding & reach goals
  • Fluency with media research & planning software, such as Nielsen, MRI, Comscore, Kantar, etc. & the ability to quickly learn how to use proprietary in-house tools
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Resourceful, with the ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative
  • Strong mathematical skills: comfortable with numbers & analyzing data
  • A passion for TV media
