10 Week - Full-Time Paid Summer Internship

Start Date June 13th 2022 - Aug 19th 2022

Candidates must be located in the New York area & comfortable coming into the office.

SoundCloud is looking for a Brand Partnerships intern in our New York office to join our Revenue Operations team & play a crucial role in observing culture trends, & supporting pre-sale initiatives that include RFP brainstorms, reactive-client proposals, proactive opportunities, understanding client briefs, media planning, updating marketing materials, etc. The internship will focus on all aspects of the pre-sale brand partnerships funnel, our priorities, & how they impact SoundClouds overall company mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand SoundCloud, how it operates, & its business structure
  • Learn about the Revenue Operations team, our priorities, & how they impact SoundClouds overall mission
  • Develop relationships with internal stakeholders, teams, & cross-functional partners (Pandora)
  • Start getting to know different clients & brand verticals through understanding the RFP process
  • Follow Brand Partnership projects in flight & keep up to date with new projects as they roll in
  • Respond Proactively: Lead a proactive pitch from start to finish for a relevant brand in the marketplace, present the pitch internally, & send the materials out to market
  • Respond Reactively: Develop cohesive strategies & sales materials for RFPS across different budget tiers to go out to market

About You:

  • Must be a current student or recent graduate from an accredited university
  • Must be able to commit to working 40hrs/week for 10 weeks (June 13th - Aug 19th) 
  • Relevant experience or interest in digital sales development, integrated marketing, brand partnerships, sales marketing or related media or marketing functions 
  • Affinity for & excitement for youth culture
  • Interest in creating strategic, creative & integrated proposals/marketing recommendations for brands with a digital/mobile focus
  • Interest in web & mobile marketing, including advertising sales & consumer marketing 
  • Can harness a variety of inputs to develop consumer understanding, distinguishing between information & insight; Is able to quickly identify insights that address issues at hand, set the right stage & drive revenue growth 
  • Highly team oriented with a collaborative spirit 
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal team members & industry partners 
  • An articulate professional with exemplary written & oral communication skills
  • Highly proactive, solution-oriented, autonomous & resourceful 
  • Detail-oriented & ability to excel in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment 
  • Expert proficiency at Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)  & Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint); proficiency in Photoshop preferred
